any news about new firmware?

. I think we will have to live with bugs as long as we demand more and more complicated functions.I don’t expect new features but I do expect the features that exist to work properly.
And I’m the first to react in the features request topics why feature requests might be not very well thought out. Consequences of adding extra complexity is one of the arguments.
I think the features request topics are more the place where you should make your point.
Why Suunto developers couldn’t release a firmware update for so long is a complete other story. Being a software developer myself, I know this isn’t a good sign. (Could be anything, incapable developers, out of control complexity of the software, lack of funding. All equally bad for getting bugs fixed)

@elbee I expect at least ability to set hr zones for external activities…
-
@sunter as far as I can see, this feature is still not ready

@2b2bff It can be developed on both sides.
I think hammerhead developed very nice solution where you can use Third Party Sync and you also have the option to manually update your Training metrics.
I am syncing my Power and HR zones from intervals.icu.https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/25219578603291-Dashboard-Training-Metrics

@Alejandro-Pérez-Beneyto before the end of the year Race should get an update, as far as I know
@isazi that would be amazing!
(first series Race user here, no compains about battery TBH)What about Race S and battery life on the latest firmware?
My girlfriend’s watch is perfect for her, except for this annoying “bug”…Thank you for your insights!

What about Race S and battery life on the latest firmware?
It depends. Most of the time, with my activities, I have to charge every 4 days or so. Which is poor, but to be expected of a watch with oled. It’s slightly better than my previous forerunner 965. During activities 5% battery usage per hour is typical. Use a external heartrate sensor and a stryd.
Settings: gnns default, aod off. Raise to wake (not the full watch version). No blood saturation. Sleeptracking off. Notifications on.
And then, all out of a sudden it uses 15% battery or get max 13 hours during activities.
But it’s not my biggest and annoying bug in the firmware.

Conversly, for my girlfriend is actually the only bug!
Seems worse when resting (watch at home) or casually wearing it (HR and AOD disabled) that when tracking activities…
Maybe it’s just a strong advice to train more

Seems worse when resting
What exact position is the watch “resting” at?

Your girlfriend uses it mainly as watch? Except for the next alarm not showing in the complication and alarms in certain situations having the wrong label, in watch mode I don’t experience bugs.
