oh, just start an activity instead. Like hiking or something, then select a route and there you go.
if I may… or just (A3P user here) select NAVIGATION>ROUTES>select the route>VIEW and you can see both the route and the altitude profile.
I’m happy now altitude profile has been restored on my A3P (I missed it since it was dropped in MC because of the API license if I’m not mistaken)
Hiked at the weekend with both my Ambit3 Peak and S9B. The route was clearer on the latter, but the Ambit didn’t ask for its compass to be calibrated four times during the route
-
@wakarimasen s9B shouldn’t have asked that either. Do you have magnets on you somewhere? Maybe for a hose attachment if you use a bladder.
-
@dmytro Don’t think so. I was carrying a camera, if that would make any difference.
-
@wakarimasen nah, unlikely. Maybe first few times compass has been calibrated poorly, I’m not sure.
Never happend to me though, maximum of one time per activity. -

FWIW I had this happen to me a couple of days ago, asked me to calibrate the compass twice during an activity. Can’t remember that ever happening before
Can’t remember what I did, I either pressed the middle button or just ignored it and it did go away and resume to the normal screens

@wakarimasen If you have magnets on your gear anywhere, that will cause the compass to need recalibrating. This happens to me all the time as I wear UltraSpire packs and they use magnets to hold pockets together and for the water tube from the bladder. On the Momentum 2 Pack the water bottle pockets are secured with magnets, every time I reach for water with my left hand (where my watch is) I have to recalibrate……arrrggghhh.
You may have a magnet on your gear somewhere. When the watch gets close enough the compass needs recalibrating. -

Just remembered I had my hotel room card in my waist pack, guessing that was likely the problem as it had a magnetic strip on the back
-
@miniforklift Not sure that will do it, never has for me.
-
@miniforklift SA does not support settings or routes sync with “old” watches like Ambit3/Traverse
-
@brad_olwin Just curious, is there a way to use the compass during and activity?
-
@tyresej4 in navigation screen choose the bearing navigation and it will show the compass
-
@markytarky Lol but then you can’t use another navigation feature at the same time? Thanks for the tip.
-
@tyresej4 right, you cannot have route navigation and the compass at the same time. Well you have a north indicator on route, so you can make a calculation
-
@markytarky Well at least you can use 1 Suunto plus feature and 1 navigation feature at the same time.
