Is there anyy Official info how to move all data from Movescount to Suunto App?

there will be deduplication

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Basically because that way you would be able to use MC web even if you disable MC sync / moveslink sync.
I have refrained from using SA sports customisation feature and routes management just not to loose MC synchronisation…
Me too

I am happy with SA, but I would like to have several important functions:
web application (to analyze training and plan routes with PID)
Training plans
Display manual turns and intervals
I also use Strava, Runalyze, and others, but my SSU deserves its own category platform.
However, congratulations for the work done.
Thank you! -

This is how it works once (and if) you’ve used SA to customize routes or sport modes.
Thanks for clarifying. I thought about testing SA for the sake of having endomondo auto-sync (I believe it is there as opposed to MC), but for now I’ll stick to the old platform as I actively use the web service for route creation.
Well, I’m curious how this story develops. I don’t want to complain until we have a fully functional SA solution in place. Still, I’d rather see Suunto putting effort in adding functionality rather than focusing on either platform. I usually find Strava just enough to analyse all my workouts, but I seriously lack custom intervals for running or a virtual/ghost race option - something which was present in the Ambit series (via an app, if I remember correctly) and was discontinued in the Spartan world.
I somehow don’t understand why new products are stripped of functionality (same goes for Polar’s new watch) instead of being enriched. As much as I love my SSU, I sometimes wish I’d chosen Garmin Fenix. I wonder what they complain about on Garmin-related forums

@auxina Thanks Auxina!
Laps , are the next step to come to you guys. And not just a simple feature. We have overhauled it!
That said web interface is the most requested feature and the most hard feature.
The problem above is what expectation should a web meet? Training Peaks? Strava?
As you understand those web interfaces are already years old, and support a whole company. Suunto will have to try hard to compete those no?
Its a bit not - so -easy todo so.

Fused alti, GPS tracks and crashes or data issues on the watch. From my monitoring there but yes you are right they have a more seamless solution.

You should read them, there are some very unhappy folks. The issues for the Fenix are different than what you find over here. There are many on GPS accuracy, a lot of battery life issues and quite a few comments on the lack of support for some sports. The grass may appear to seem greener until you examine the root structures:)

We know it will not be easy …
I have an original idea:
Do we use Movescount as a web app… -

That is why I won’t be changing soon despite all the hassle. And I keep hoping to see the missing features

From all the comments on this forum it turns out that the current MC website is just fine. If only it could be paired with the new SA, we would have a perfect match But I understand that these are two different platforms after all.

@Brad_Olwin Do You have some links?

@karel-louda links for?

@Brad_Olwin for the Garmin-related forums regarding the GPS, battery issues, etc.

Why look elsewhere? MC is/was already more than capable for (I would say) >85% of the Suunto users…

Just go to the Garmin Forums for 5x plus or 5 plus. The topics are easy to find.

@claudiotereso its still not an easy small task.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos at the price point of a Suunto watch we are not only paying for the device
-
@halajos I understand but that is not 100% correct. You can buy the S9 “gold” or anyother version and then you pay only for the device.
So yes it’s like a base part for services and some part for device materials. -
I’m with those who are using the MC app/site, that level of site is sufficient, IMHO.
I bet a very large percentage of people getting “down to the details” with their data are using a 3rd party service, sport-specific or similar, to analyze their data, anyway. On the topic of the “data move”, is it known if this will be continuously available?
I have an Ambit3 (cycling) and and Ambit3 Peak watch, the latter of which I use to track skiing primarily (I can go on a long ski trip or backcountry trip, and usually have sufficient battery with the Peak).
Given that it sounds like I’ll not be able to track skiing anymore (requires an app, which likely won’t be supported), once I move to the SA, I want to delay this to the absolute last minute, and then export my data (not sure if I’ll be staying with Suunto at this point, given that my very expensive, working A3 Peak effectively becomes a “doorstop” for me…), and import it into SA or whatever platform. If we’re forced to do it one time, this Spring, that effectively “kills” my Ambit3 Peak, for skiing, moving forward.
It does seem a little bizarre to me, that this is still being sold, and marketed to support skiing (I double-checked this before posting), when they’re in the process of phasing out the support for skiing, imminently.Or, is it remotely possible that Suunto will add in sports that need additional functionality (like counting ski runs, stats), for these watches/customers that are getting completely hosed by this?
Thanks.

@pgrey whats up with Skiing ?
