I got a Suunto 9 Baro 2 months ago. For the most part it was working well. For these past two weeks problems starting showing up in this order.

      1. First when finishing a run, it wouldn’t auto sync to the Suunto app on my Iphone X. I would have to manually close out and restart the app after I finished my run for it to upload. Before this it would do it on its own.

      2. This problem just started happening this week. My pace is totally off. I run a short 1 mile loop around my house to warm up and I know what certain pace feels like without looking at my watch. I know I am running 7:30 mile pace but my watch is telling me 10 min pace. It usually takes about 1 mile for it to sync but even then my pace jumps up drastically and makes it seem I am going slower than I really am. Sometimes it shows I am completely off track on my route in the app.

This problem is also reflected on the data map on the Suunto app. It shows my gps location standing still and then after 1 mile it resumes to the normal pace I am actually running at.

I checked my gps settings. I am at Performance mode with the most accurate gps. I am at the newest update.

Is there anything causing this? Its been extremely frustrating trying to dial in my workouts from the pace/gps/uploading issues.

One run would have been fine. Maybe even 2. But all these problems have been going on consistently for the past 5 runs.

@Popuhsquat you should try a soft reset (12a upper button). I believe there was some issues with the cache of the watch (GPS), and what you describe fits the symptoms of that issue. I thought it was fixed with last firmware upgrade but… try it!

Indeed. Make sure you updated the watch to the latest firmware (2.5.18) because of the GPS issue.

If after a soft reset it still doesn’t work, check if you have the same symptoms as I had before in this post: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/1711/suunto-9-highly-inaccurate-speed-readings.
In my case Suunto support replaced my unit recently so I have to see the issue is resolve
