    Dear all,

Runteq is developing a hr belt based on movesense and will offer additional metrics. Will Suunto 9 record these additional metrics into the fit file and will the Suunto App display this?

    Kind regards
    Marcus

Maybe in time it will, but remember, we don’t even have swim data in the app yet and getting correct and reliable data seems like a challenging task in general…
I am not sure Suunto see the app as the place for analysis, but if we can get the data into the fit file, and analysis in other tools that might work better…

@johan6504 Regarding swim data: I do not know as I do not go swimming (only with my kids just having fun)
for me, recording in the fit file would be the best option as I use TrainingPeaks and WKO4 for my traning analysis…

What I meant was that there’s a lot of data not yet displayed in SA. So I am unsure of what the strategic position Suunto have with regards to displaying it in SA.

@johan6504 I think we all do not have the big picture yet what Suunto want to address with the app. More socialising or serious training analysing? Both ways, a lot of work is still to do. But I see progress and it is good to know that they currently focus on the basis and listen to the customers. So I hope we will see a good app until the end of the year…

There no challenging task. ITs all about priorities
