I agree with you, I would be very upset if I can dump Ambit… not because I only bought it new few weeks back but mainly because I think it’s the greatest watch in the world with its durability, precision, battery life and the apps.I don’t give up my believes in Suunto. If they want to keep good old customers, they WILL keep them happy with their watches.
If they dump Ambit support they risk all the adventureous and mountain athletes out there to change the brand…
Suunto does not want that, and I don’t want that either.
Would actually be nice of Suunto to give a FULL statement about their intentions and future of Ambit range… Am tired of the breadcrumb/ dangle the carrot bit;t of information from them… If they Truly care about their customers they need to be honest and frank with us… It would go along way if they did.
As to your
I think it’s the greatest watch in the world with its durability, precision, battery life and the apps.
HELL YES I COMPLETELY AGREE!!!

@lohtse @TELE-HO i think the same. maybe it’s the last “sports watch” made without fittness tracker priority. i think that in earlier days, when the watch came out, with that “slow” processor and limited memory, they really had to care about and make thoughts about what they are coding into the watch.
and as long as they are selling them in their own webshop with all the features in the specifications plus the 2 year warrenty in europe, i don’t have any fear of loosing any feature of which are listed in the selling description. otherwise they would have take them out of description. or even mark the watch as discontinued. -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Any chance we will get a July Transition Update? “No news is good news” does not apply to software updates.

LOL Poooooor Ikkle suunto… there there there everyone one “loves you” don’t worry about thost meanies they will go away
-
it is indeed very calm around the update topics… calm before the storm?
-
@TELE-HO
Or vacation for développement team, but yes, pretty quiet -
@Mff73 holidays season, same every year in every company
-
@zhang965 I know. We need to stop asking for features from Movescount or they won’t add any just to be spiteful.
-
Is there any update for the ambit 2? I own an Ambit 2, and found out that Movescount.com doesn’t display “Progress and Metrics” anymore. Additionally, not all moves are shown in the overview below “Activity Feed”. I expected that movescount.com will work as good than in the past until Suunto provides a solution for Ambit 2, and feel very disappointed now.
-
@SteiraMan Exactly. SA is not - at the moment - usable for A3P, so I expect, that Movescount.com will be FULLY functional, untill Suunto make significant progress with SA and Ambits.

@TELE-HO
I must be drunk, but I am almost sure this survey was in MC app -
@Mff73
I looked in MC web and app, maybe it was a selective survey… OR it was for people that used it frequently in the past weeks and as I was on vacation and just enjoyed the waves and the beers, the possibility is that I was skipped -

I love how people here are clinging onto the hope of getting any clear and coherent information about Ambit1/2 and Movescount lifecycle.
I can smell a sinking ship from a mile away and sold my A2 S for the price of a quality 12-pack of IPA right after buying a Garmin Forerunner 245. I will be downloading all my MC activities this afternoon -before deleting my account.
Mentally, I’m now in a better place. I’ve also discouraged everyone who looks to me for tech advice against purchasing Suunto products specifically because of this hot mess - not to say dumpster fire.
As a silver lining, I can only hope business schools far and near will use this odyssey as a cautionary tale against making loyal customers feel like they purchased and use disposable goods and services.
I’m now going for a run. Afterwards, I’ll reflect upon how worry-free and seamless the Garmin ecosystem is. While drinking an ice cold IPA.

Received when using Movescount (web or app, i don’t remember), and launched at work, no alert.
But maybe. -
@almic
that’s not nice, you make me jealous about that IPA!you have some good points… but I still don’t give up… maybe it’s my mentality?!
I saw the Coros Vertix today… very nice!
But I guess I will enjoy my new A3P Sapphire for a while.
And if not… I can also go cycling and skitouring without any watch
…by the way… @Jouko-from-Suunto update message did not push me off my socks again, either… sorry to be honest… -
