@Mff73 No it’s not. I’ve tried it some hours ago.

- Ability to turn on and off hr monitoring during exercise
It should be there already.
https://forum.suunto.com/topic/4182/software-update-2-11-38-for-s5-s9?page=1I wish the new “Turn off wrist HR” option would save the memory of what you selected the last time. Just like the other settings. To add to that, I wish the SuuntoPlus did as well!

I can’t check, no update for me.
Don’t hesitate to reply in the update post, because i understand that
-
@Mff73 you can select that on S9/S5 before starting an activity. No idea if it works mid activity, but apparently not according to the comments here.

The possibility to calibrate the Indoor Rowing distance measured.
Additionally, capture the total stroke number (through the accelerometers, it’s just the horizontal back-forth horizontal movement )
Over the top would be to allow the device to pair with Concept2 ergs, retrieve rowing metrics from it while providing heart rate data to the PM5 . That would be awesome -
@hel790 Stroke is there …
Distance impossible if not paired as a BT pod sensor
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Actually no
Distance is measured by default without external sensors (although only approx. 1/2). No stroke rate.

-
@hel790 I can see cadence and that is your stroke rate.
How do you expect it to record a correct distance since it doesn’t know the intensity ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos There is no cadence on the Suunto log . The Strava one was uploaded from the rowing machine. Notice the difference in distance
-
-
@hel790 If also Strava has a direct sync from concept then I see that the s9 has done a good job for cadence
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Cool. Sorry I neglected that. Indeed the cadence is on point
So, we should only need to ‘calibrate’ the correct distance in, even if manually during the exercise through some option
-
@hel790 Correct , or afterwards. There is though an issue…
You should be able to edit the distance in the suunto app but it wont get synced to partners. This is an open issue on our side for now. Sorry about that.
However in your suunto app , totals etc should be just fine.

@hel790
You could, as a workaround, turn off WiFi and data connection on phone before syncing. Then enable it again after the activity has been modified -
I would also lave to see stronger vibration or vibration strength customization.
-
I’d really like the paired sensor list to actually provide the name of each device for the paired pods. To make sure it is the right pod that is paired.
-
@tkernen yes, this is a must for me and also multiple sensors of same type
-
I want the opportunity to have more than one heart rate belt paired to the clock and see the name of the device paired against the clock.
for example:
I have an OH1 polar and a suunto HR monitor. I use them for different activities. I won’t have to pair them up every time I switch -

@TELE-HO
I’d like these functions
- light button in watch/activity mode (no unlocking)
- lockbutton in watch mode (e. g. 3sec press)
- possibility to adjust altitude during tracking a hike. I could adjust the altitude manually during hiking on my Traverse amber. But not on the baro 9.
