+1000 for “lockbutton in watch mode (e. g. 3sec press)”
Why have they removed it as it was standard on the Ambits ?
So useful when i stash my watch in my pack or somewhere else. -
I would also really appreciate backlight toggle. For example with a long press of upper an lower button or just a long press of lower button maybe. I don’t want to use constant backlight on or two fingers switch, since the latter applies to watch mode also, where I prefer backlight to be automatic (also it’s not easy to use when screen is wet or with gloves)

Auto lap default sett to off (it is now sett to on). We have auto lap in the Suunto app.
-
Hi !
Like many of us, i wish they add the lockbutton function in all mode (watch mode included)
The flashlight fonction like the Traverse Alpha
And new watchface with a better design because most of them are really ugly compared to Garmin…
-
Move the power saving toggle button to the shortcuts menu.
It is quite annoying to switch it on and off by navigation through the whole settings menu.
I always use the watch in power saving mode, but in order to be able to sync the training data with the APP i have to deactivate it. So I spend a lot of time in activating/deactivating the power saving mode.

@matthias220841
what do you need the power saving for? -
@freeheeler I activate it to extend battery live. I don’t know how effective it is, though.
-
@matthias220841
I wonder that, too… I have never ever used power saving mode.
I would not know what for. I don’t have any exceptional drain -
@freeheeler I have to charge my watch every 4 days with daily use and Bluetooth connection but if I toggle on Power Saver when I’m at work vs. Do Not Disturb I can stretch it to almost 8 days.
-
@zrumlow
with 4 days battery I assume you have 24/7 HR enabled? -

Be careful with that “power saving mode”.
When I bought the S9 back in 08/2018, I made the BIG mistake to activate it right off the box and then ran a 100-miler. After the race, when I synchronized my watch, the file had not recorded ANY GPS data and when contacting the Suunto support they told me it was because I had activated that power saving mode. They never really told me if it was a feature or a bug but I havent activated it since then -
I tried to search from this thread and didn’t find anything. Sorry if this is a duplicate…
The “second screen” which comes out when you press the middle button while in clock display… I think it is a bit empty. It’s got the date and battery level and lots of black screen. Could we have the sunrise, sunset and altitude info there, because we can’t have it all in a watchface anyway?
Anyone agree?
EDIT: Outdoors watch face has of course altitude, sunrise and sunset, but NOT daily step count, calories and whatnot. It would be nice to have all the extra info in the next screen. Perhaps even customisable fields just like custom activities.
-
@brunoh 100% with you ! Very good idea
-
@brunoh I agree too. I never check that screen as it always annoys me that the ghost calendar invites never vanish from the notification account (unless I soft reset the watch). It does seem a large empty space though so a very good suggestion.

możliwość zmiany ręcznie-manualnie-wartości barometru.
teraz to tylko automatycznie mam 2 suunto 9 baro i oba wskazują ruzne wartosci po automatycznym wyszukiwaniu. -
@ldxmsg ale ten ekran jest właśnie do powiadomień z telefonu i takie jest jego przeznaczenie .chyba że się mylę.

It also takes you to the alarms page (if you have one set) with only a tap on the alarm. Slightly shorter process than sustained pressure on button or screen to open the context options menu or button presses/scrolling to get to Settings.

I’m not arguing against its current purpose; rather, that it has potential to be more useful than it currently is.
-
@brunoh I am not sure there is sufficient memory for the watch to run all of that at the same time, but I am not sure.
-
@brad_olwin If it’s a memory issue, I wish there was a way to bring up a couple of indicators. Something you could configure yourself.
