      @fenr1r I think they might be a little too harsh. However, I agree with TbT criticism - I think it was kind of underdiscussed in the forum.
      Overall, I’d say there are two-three major points, that were also mentioned by other reviewers and users and I’m confident suunto’s going to address them in the future.

        Just a thought.

        Baro sensor filtering choice:

        Baro off for crazy outings on 100kmh wind gusts
        Baro filter high for mid crazy weather
        Baro default filter (auto)
        Baro filter off for very nice stable weather and accurate recording (works only when weather stable)

          @lexterm77 but your hands swing when you walk/run - it already creates both wind and altitude changes. If you move with e.g. 10kmh, the wind moves against the sensor hole with 10kmh. So I’m not sure if no filtering at all would be a good idea even in the nicest of weathers. But it may be interesting to have an option of changing the aggressiveness of the filter.

            I don’t swing them that fast, and when I swing them motion sensor does know it.

              is it that bad with wind effect?
              I dare to say that I’ve never experienced that… and I also go outdoors when it’s not only sunshine and blue sky… the only issue I have is blocked holes on sweaty forearm or wet sleeves.
              IMHO best solution S9P 👌

                It is also possible to share sensor data via BT multiple Suunto Watches with Baro, so you can have 3 watches is like having one watch with 3 sensors. If you want more accuracy, buy more watches 😁

                  @freeheeler

                  I’ve posted before data when I had 90kmh gusts. With A3P on a bike it was much worse than S9B. But S9B was struggling to keep Baro data flat and on a flat route I seem to have climbed half a km.

                  In any case with high wind gusts Baro data is almost useless.

                    @lexterm77 yeah, actually combining the data of motion sensors to adjust the filtering sound interesting, not sure how well it can be implemented though. One may even try to write an algorithm that recognises periodic noise and adjusts just that part - exactly for arm swings or something similar.

                      @freeheeler I can show you some tracks of windsurfing
                      Both water and wind are no friends with the baro sensor 😄

                      I guess that’s why Suunto decided to shut it off for those kind of sports.

                        @dmytro

                        Its all about power and whether you need to design a small FPGA that can process data. I don’t deal with watches but with hydraulic transducers and I have one nano second bit operation processing time. In the world of watches, things are different and your imagination quickly outruns budget.

                          Exactly. Imagine two Suunto units sharing Baro data. One you leave at base camp and one you go for the peak. At the end you come to the peak and back, you stop, it sync Baro data from your activity AND from watch at base camp. Then you compare it all. Winds will NEVER match, and if you didn’t travel 100km, atmosphere region pretty much share similar pressure. That way you can have much more accurate shots at the real altitude. Wind or no wind.

                            …and maybe because you will not do so high climbs in windsurfing… maybe jumps 😉

                              @freeheeler True. It took a while until Suunto realised it though. Altitude was recorded for a long time in windsurf activities (it still is, but it’s not shown in SA)

                              Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m not sure if this means storm alarm isn’t also working. That’s a metric I’m interested in during the activity

                                Dear Suunto, are you taking notes for future firmware features? 😇

                                Additional note: Make it better then Garmin 😄
