Sorry to insist and sorry if the topic has been already touched, but I ended up tired of following the forum waiting for this basic functionality expected for the October update to appear.

At this point now I’m totally disappointed with Suunto. Simply I can’t believe there isn’t still ANY way of extracting the POIs from the watch (and don’t talk me about Movescount, which is something that as a new user I’ve always been hidden to use).

@djibarian what I read on this forum is that POI functionality for SA is planned for January 2020.

      Watch: Suunto Vertical Ti

That’s not going to happen in a watch firmware update. It will happen in a future Suunto app update, which afaik is planned to hit the beta stage in January.

In the meantime, I’ve been using Suunto app on my phone and Movescount on the desktop (but not the phone app) to maintain full POI functionality with my Spartan Ultra.

        Watch: SSU, FW 2.8.32
        App: 4.22.3 beta
        Phone: Motorola Moto G6
        Android 9
        HRM: Polar OH1

@ianshowalter I installed Moveslink2 in the desktop to try to sync with Movescount web and nothing happens when I connect the watch via USB.

You need Movescount App if you want to send data to MC and you’ve already customized sport modes.
Search the forum for “parallel use”

                SVTS - 2.40.38
                SSSWHR BARO Amber - 2.8.32
                Samsung A5 2016 - Android 7.0
                Samsung A33 2022 - Android 14 - One UI 6.1
                Suunto App Android 5.2.5 beta
Suunto App IOs 2.45.0 (19123) beta on MBP M1

Yes but then how come I can use Movescount on the desktop as suggested by @ianshowalter?

Now we know your watch model, the answer is : use Suuntolink and not Moveslink2 for S9 🙂
it should work better to sync on desktop.

So for desktop do you mean “cable sync” ?

                      SVTS - 2.40.38
                      SSSWHR BARO Amber - 2.8.32

Yes, cable sync. Now I connected the watch via USB to the computer (something already do in a regular basis) via Suuntolink. Suuntolink everything is up to date. Then I go to Movescount.com and there is nothing there. No moves, no watches, nothing.

Because you’ve probably customized sport modes or routes in SA

So you need to search the forum for “parallel use” and start using MC App

                          SVTS - 2.40.38

Suunto App IOs 2.45.0 (19123) beta on MBP M1

Where to look for “parallel use”? In the watch settings, Suuntolink or Movescount webapp?
