@Dwartus well it’s 17 days that passed. That is not something much as of development time. Also I didn’t say that they will do this feature. They just know that people want this.
-
@Dwartus I use trainer and I get your point about the Suunto getting all the signal, but sincerely I would prefer to support Zwift as a partner because all the indoor trainer I do is in zwift, but if I wouldn’t use Zwift I will need a better support of the trainer in my Suunto watch.
-
For me, this is not a new function, but rather a correction/improvement. The Suunto are able to be connect at sensor (power, speed, …), and sensors of indoor trainer are not detected. But detected by others (Garmin, Polar, Zwift, …). @Bulkan I also use Zwift to do my training session, but not sure to do it all the time due to other simulator and also the price. I can also use Wahoo platform for one or two session as example.
I send data (90% of my activities) directly in Strava platform.
But at end the real and full tracking is done by Suunto.

Hello, Is there a new software released since 2.13.18 ? Do you know, if this topic is now correct if new software released ? Thanks
-
@dwartus no new firmware for the watch yet.
-
Hello all, I now seen the software release 2.16.26 Does somebody can tell me if this point is now solved / corrected ? Thank you
-
@dwartus nope, works the same way as before.
-
@дима-мельниченко OK, did you check with your trainer if you can connect the sensors (cadence, power and speed) ? Thank you
-
@dwartus no, I’m drawing my conclusions from official changelog and general suunto treatment of pods connections. If one could have used multiple pods simultaniously - it definetely would have been mentioned.
But maybe someone who did try can suplement/correct my answer.
-
@dwartus so, bottomline - 1 pod at a time atm.
-
Does somebody can test this correction (connect at same time RPM, speed and power sensor from a trainer) ?? Thank you
-
@dwartus Nothing has been fixed. In my case, the watch (S9P) connects to the trainer (Elite) only as a power pod. I must admit that it is very disappointing that Suunto has not solved this problem for so long.
-
Not sure if it helps…Suunto Bike Sensor With Turbo Trainer
-
@aroo7 Thanks for your feedback, at least we are two guys that waiting this correction looking forward. In my case this is a Wahoo core trainer.
The last answer from Suunto support (from 4 August 2021):
“Our software departement received some comments related to this issue.
At the moment this is under evaluation to introduce this correction for these trainer type, but this is a long projet to do, so no date for a first release.”Find original (in French, sorry):
  Thanks
-
@wakarimasen Thank you for this link. This is quite the same issue/way as this topic.
-
@dwartus Thanks for the message! We have to wait but it doesn’t look good, shame
-

For sure, I prefer to keep the Suunto brand !Than you
 Regards
-
@aroo7 : Hello, are you able to test the firmware release 2.18.20 with your Elite trainer, to check if any changes appears ?
Meantime, I bought another GPS, currently under evaluation
-
