SA forum becomes Suunto Community Forum
-
Hi,
I think i don’t see any news about it, but it seems that our forum is now named : Suunto Community Forum, instead of Suunto App forum.
Is it recent or my winter hibernate period is too long ?No problem for that and it seems to have now multiple posts for watch questions/support.
May some community managers add some new folders here for these questions extra Suunto App to have their place ? -
Just saw that too, when you said that. I got no news about that, maybe @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos can say something about that…
-
We are a community. This forum is a great place to share our thoughts about Suunto and training.
Now maybe we could have a section about races where Suunto is involved.
Good day everyone
-
@Bulkan Yeah, we talked intern about changes some while ago when people started to ask more and more about watch related things. Looking forward to more things coming soon!
-
@Bulkan
maybe it would also be good to have a little instruction when people join the forum. I’m not sure if I skipped or don’t remember something like this when I joined this forum… but I see frequently people asking questions about things that are already discussed or start new threads that already exist or maybe even in the wrong topic/directory.
a short guideline would be helpful in case this does not already exist and I already forgot!
It would help them and the more experienced -

It would help them and the more experiencedIt is common on every forum you visit. People are lazy in that regard (me included) and just click through instructions to get to the juicy stuff.
And also most people don’t search, because they either don’t have time or just want a quick answer, so they post their findings or issues and wait for the answer - easy.
I am not saying this is right, just saying it is hard to manage things like this. -

solution :

If it’s no longer only Suunto app forum, then it should be restructured. It would probably be good idea to open separate forums for all current models or at least group of models e.g. Ambits/traverse, Spartans, Suunto 3, Suunto 5, Suunto 7 i Suunto 9 etc.
After that in each of these forums someone should create sticky topics with faq. -

does not sound like a side job to me

Since the name change seemed to happen today, I’m sure there will be some changes soon.

Hi all, yes that is correct. I managed to get approval for this.
There is much work for me todo in order to structure correct the forum.
I will open also (again) the call for moderators.
Stand by team!
-
@Mff73 Always late for news on this side of the planet! Good change but yes a fair bit of restructuring needed. Let us know if the moderators can help.

Yep, late for news but it is not WW3
Just a feeling that there was many more watch help requests, and not even noticed that Forum Header changed.
Nice to hear that this forum should become quite an official Suunto one (not only SA).
Moderators will continue to work as expected, just maybe more work because of more topics to be tidyied -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Maybe bring in one or two other official bods from Suunto. Perhaps on the FW & even HW sides. After all, if you broaden the nominal scope of the Forum, there are likely to be considerably more visitors with, possibly, more foci.
And there is only so much relentless praise, gratitude and (let’s be honest) downright worship that one man can be expected to receive. Share the joy.
(Also, I’m not 100% sure you should be held to task for Dive Computers and strap colors)

@Fenr1r agreed

It may be a dangerous place here for these official folks
