@ink357 if will been not every 10m. Except if you go on a camel type mountain (lots of camels) 10m is just the threshold for the feature to kick in. You can go up 1000m and it will be only one hill counted.

@ink357 As @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos says it not counts a hill every 10 m. Today I tested it in a 10 km run with 383 m of ascent and it registered 8 climbs.

thank you for that. My next question is what is the trigger to complete the climb which can be 10m or more hight.Maybe 10m descent?

2 datafield screens. There are certain runs when all I need is pace and distance or pace and interval number…etc.

@zrumlow have you tried using the 3 field display and choose the empty field for the lower and smaller number?
That should do it pretty well for you 👍

@Egika, that’s not the same, the font size is maintained, so all you’re doing is wasting screen space on an empty field.

I agree - not the same. But a solution for: “I only need two numbers”
the lower field is smaller anyway, so not wasted too much space.

I use it this way and can eaysily read the two big numbers at the short glance I get on my wrist when kayaking.

                      Here is a simple request… from a new Suunto 9 owner coming from Garmin F5 & F3.

                      • Looped menu, when you hit the bottom of the list, you go back to the top. Instead of having to scroll all the way back up.

As I play with the watch I’ll probably come up with more suggestions!

@Andrew-Chau If your trying to go back one menu level HOLD the middle button down. In fact you can keep it down and go all the way back to the clock.

@fritzbt2013 or scroll right and go back to the main screen

@fritzbt2013 nah, just getting back to the top of the same menu. It’s probably just me and my lack of patience 😝

It’s not just you. And it hasn’t always been the case at Suunto.

The main Ambit menu is looped and customisable to the extent that you can hide un-wanted functions. Either, both or full customisation would be nice in a more advanced watch. Perhaps just the option to reorder the list.

[Mountain/molehill Mode ON] It’s a long, slow slog from Settings to Environment or annoying to go back in order to go forward. [Mountain/molehill Mode OFF] [… Still a bloody mole problem, tho’.]
