I have no S7, but read all this stuff in case 🙂
I read that S7 must be plugged on the charger to dowload offline map. Did you do it like that ?

@giulio I had problem in hotel, where connection to the wifi must have been agreed on the phone (you had to agreed with some rules). Therefore the connection of S7 to the wifi didn´t work (can´t did it on the watch). Can help

Hi, about download offline maps i see that work only with wi-fi via adsl or fiber not with hot-spot of the smartphone…
So, i think this must be considered a bug or suunto can add this feature(use wifi router of smartphone).
Can you send this to suunto?
                    Excuse my english!!

@giulio I am sure they do work with hotspot for me at least.

CAn it be some restriction from your provider with the hotspot? Some providers do not allow tethering

Maybe it uses some data protocol that is filtered by the provider.

@giulio I have an iPhone and my carrier allows tethering. I am able to download maps using my iPhone as a hotspot. It is much slower than downloading from a fast WiFi. It is possible that your phone will terminate the connection after some time or if the phone does not remain on the connection terminates. Mine requires 15 min to 20 min to download the maps.
