Roadmap for ambits?

Any news about roadmap for ambits? @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos mentioned some 3-4 months ago that this would be available. Still nothing?

I’d expect at least clear stance for Ambit3 Peak and Suunto app relationship for now. Right now it’s where it was 15 months ago. Not a single line of code in Suunto app to make Suunto app more useful for A3P (at least nothing visible).

Is Suunto app going to offer better experience for A3P, or that’s it?

Based on what we already know, nope. SA does what it currently does for the A3P, nothing else is planned as far as we know. If there are bugs in activity sync that it supports currently, those might get fixed, but I wouldn’t expect Suunto to address those in a timely fashion at this point.

The future of the A3P (and prior Ambit models) rests in the hands of whoever Suunto has working on the MC browser application and PC/MAC sync software.

Unless they change their plans announced to date. Which IMO is highly unlikely.

You might be right, but still, suunto is always so secretive about their plans, so you never know.

What bothers me the most is that for example a3p is capable and is using the same route/poi system as newer watches, so they are intentionally been left out of mobile routing feature of suunto app. That is particularly important because, if you are right, and you probably are after 15 months grave software development silence, we are going to lose ability to sync routes without having cable and laptop with you. I really loved how I could upload a route with mobile browser and sync it to watch with movescount app.

So it’s not just not receiving new features avaliable in suunto app, we are losing crucial features of current app/web combo (structured interwals and apps too).

Also, I’m not making this up about roadmap, Dimitrios said it himself. I know that is not exactly a promise, but well when he says it, it means that something is really going on, he would not be making it up I guess.

But lately I’m being ghosted by him on this matter, so I’m not really sure what should this mean. Maybe they just decided not to announce any roadmap after all.

I don’t remember any roadmap of any watch or app had been announced recently, neither about A3.
