    just got my suunto 5 in the mail and tried getting everything set up. Well did what it said by connecting it to my computer, but didn’t “wake up” to let me set up the watch. Figured I needed to update the firmware. So downloaded the app, started the updates. Currently stuck on update 2.11.38 which constantly says the watch needs to be rest and nothing happens. Ive tried actually updating for the past 2 hours now and its still the same problem. I love suunto watches but this is pretty ridiculous right out of the box

        When it says watch need to be reset, do you unplug it?
        When upgrade has begun, whatever Suuntolink says, wait without unplugging (let says 20min max to be sure).

          Same problem here … (got mine a day ago), did you get a solution from support ?
          If not I will just send mine back (online shopping has mandatory refunds here).

              I was hoping for a public solution … but you are right, i will see what Suunto support can do.

                      Sorry had been working alot lately and forgot to check. I contacted support which said wait for the battery to completely drain then try hooking it up again. Its been about 4 days now and its still doing the same thing. Hoping that the battery is going to drain completely soon so I can try it again

                          If you can, turn on the GPS, that will drain the battery quickly
