    Hi guys,
    Is there a successor of S9 in the oven right now? Or is it safe to go buy it now either non-baro or baro version, please weight in 🙂

    Thanks

      @herlas
      it depends if you always need the latest stuff… Suunto does not announce new products much in advance if at all.
      I must say I could not imagine what an S9B successor could give me more than the actual S9B other than a lockbutton that not might be in the successor either… 🙈

          There are rumors on the Internet of a new S9 coming. Could be today, could be in a year, could be never.

          Personally I think the best approach is to buy something you think it’s going to work for you. Is the S9 what you want? If yes, buy it. If not, keep searching on the market.

            Thanks for the answers, one last, baro doesn’t make a difference if I mainly run on roads and swim right? 🙂

                @herlas if you really don’t care about accurate altitude you don’t need baro. If you do care, baro is much better for that.

                  @herlas If you can, I would get the Baro, it has storm alarm and you might travel where you do want better altitude information. When the S9 (non Baro) is used in either Endurance or Ultra mode you will not get real time altitude information, only in Performance battery mode.
