Place/location associated with an activity

Hello,

I’m not sure if it has always been like that or it is like that since an update, but I noticed that the places/locations associated with all my activities (I’m talking about when you chose a point on the map, not when there is a GPS track) have disappeared (or have never been imported from Movescount when importing the activities, I’m not sure).

Trying to check what happened, I also noticed that the activities for which you can add a place/location seems pretty arbitrary: you can for bottle diving and badminton (which is usually played indoor), but not for scuba diving or climbing (which can be made outdoor).

Does someone remember something or have noticed the same thing?

I don’t remember how did it work in MC, but it make sense that you can add location only for NON Gps activities.

If you have GPS you already have the location , isn’t it ?

sartoric kindly reopened this topic (thanks!) so I’ll try to explain a bit better my/the problem:

I just noticed on Suunto App that for the activities that had a location associated, this information has disappeared (activities with a GPS track are fine).

And I just noticed it and i can’t remember if it has always been the case.

The activities have a location associated in Movescount, so I see two options:

1. Incomplete import: the activities have been imported without their location from Movescount?
2. Recent disappearance: an update to Suunto App or its backend wiped the location for all activity?

And losing all the location associated with all my dives or my climbing sessions is very annoying.

Has anyone that have some activities with a location associated (either imported from Movescount or directly created in Suunto App) noticed the same thing? I’m trying to get some feedback to see if I’m an isolated case or not.

I have locations added in SA, and they are still there.
None imported for MC.
