@Łukasz-Szmigiel Some save some do not. For example turning off GPS saves. Turning of OHR does not … maybe it is a bug(Suunto please fix in next S9 firmware release).

          nyway to do this?

I also have this issue since updating to v2.11.38. It’s really frustrating and intrusive. This did not happen previously with v2.10.26. Does anyone know when the next S9 update will be released?

@fritzbt2013 Sorry, this is reported and known by Suunto but has not been implemented. I am not sure when/if this will be changed.

@brad_olwin This is still occurring with 2.14.12. Please escalate. Forcing users to turn off OHR before EVERY SINGLE ACTIVITY is absolute insanity!

@sneakernet As I said I don’t know when or if this will be changed, I will enquire.

@sneakernet I agreee!! I would rather have no HR than the wrist OHR. I’ve never been able to get consistently good readings with the OHR
If I have my chest strap, I’ll connect that. But I never want the OHR on for a running or biking activity 😕

@jonathan-schwarz can’t you create custom battery mode with no whr? It’s activity specific too.

@дима-мельниченко I went into custom battery in the activity options list and didn’t see HR as a choice. Just GPS, colour, timeout display, and touch.
                          Where have you seen it?

@дима-мельниченко It’s listed as a view only setting for the other battery modes. They really just need to make it a option under custom. Everything else is configurable, why not the WHR …

I have not had this problem until a few weeks ago. I created a new sports mode for a race where I didn’t want anything but a single display so I could leave the display on so I would be able to glance at the screen without activating the backlight. I always turn off the OHR during races and use a custom battery profile.

All of my existing sport modes retain the setting for HR disabled. However, the new one does not. If I enter the initial screen for an activity and go to the options to turn it off, then back out of the activity before starting, The OHR disable setting is retained. If I start the activity, and then complete it, the OHR disable setting is not retained for the next time I use it.

I believe this is a bug that has crept in to a software update that only affects new sports modes (or modifying an existing one before the bug).

Unfortunately, things seem to break or important features disappears whenever there is a new update to the watch firmware. In it’s initial release, there were many more options for tailoring battery usage than exist now. Most disappeared as part of the transition to SuuntoLink and Suunto app.

The OHR option is in the options list at the same level as “Battery Mode”. Disabling it here used to be retained for that mode along with other settings in the options screen.

@brad_olwin still an issue with 2.16.26, is there a solution to this?
