Re: Import or resync an activity

      Hi all,

Quick question about Suunto App. I stopped an activity by mistake in the middle of a long hike, restarted it right after but now I have multiple activities displayed in the App. Is there a way to merge them?

I wanted to download GPX, merge them and re-import it but it looks like I can’t add an activity like that. When importing a GPX file, it stays in my routes.

Is there a possibility to add manually an activity using a GPX ?

      Thanks

First answer : not yet possible to add 100% nicely an activity in SA --> but it seems to be planned (this year ?)
Second answer : you can do it with apps like SyncMytracks for android or rungap for iOS, but you may face some wrong data (like ascent)
Third answer : gpx is not the best file type to export full data of an activity, and thus reimport will loose also many data --> better work with fit files.

Hey, putting back this « merging » thread ahead and upvoting it

it would be useful to have functions in SA to merge/edit activities and gpx files !

For multiple activities/days trip that would be part of the same training/adventure (or if accidentally stopping an activity), It would be awesome to have a merging option in SA, that could work two ways :

1 choosing to totally merge activities to make one unique
2 choosing to « gather » activities, and then have similar displays that when using the multisport function : a global activity but where you can see details of every activity in it. The export fil option could be then : export every single gpx from every component, or export the whole gpx.

Could use this tool to merge: https://www.fitfiletools.com/#/top
So could at least have one complete track.

I know that merging tools exists, but I would loose my activitie’s informations => that’s why It would be great to have the ability to merge activities in SA directly.
