So, what are you going to do after Movescount closes?

I have the specific ID for some of my apps and them works to edit, but not for all my apps, only for some of them.
I’ll expect this would be a bug.
There is a way to retrieve the app id.
Go to watch settings, select a sport mode and go to change a display. Select “My apps”, here are listed all personal apps. Then right click on the app you want to retrieve the id and then select “Inspect Element”. Your browser will show you an html element like:
<label for=“deviceField-Rule/XXXXXXXX”>App name</label>
where XXXXXXXX seems to be the app ID and App name the name of the app.
Then you can add those elements in the following URL:
https://www.movescount.com/apps/appXXXXXXXX-App_name/edit
and you can edit your app!
If your app name has space between words, replace it with the underscore _ (for example App_name).
Hurry, we don’t have much time left!

Thanks a lot. I’ve discovered it before you posted it. Really it is enough only with de app ID code. I mean, it’s it not necessary the app name.
I have made a personal page with all my apps long time ago. It’s this:
http://misappssuunto.blogspot.com/ -
@André-Faria accept this. Movescount it was good, but belongs to past. I use suunto APP and QS from Dimitrios. Is enough for me.
And yes, i will use Suunto. Like durability, design, gnss accuracy, UI, navigation, and S+ Run sprint add-on.
What can be better? GPS+Gal combo accuracy, wrist HR, navigation with info about time to reach destination, VO2 also for cycling and more integration of S+ add-on “Safe” with APP to send allert in case of accident.

I’m so pissed that I’m afraid I’ll throw my Ambit2 to the trash. I hate being forced to use all those apps on the phone to do everything nowadays. If you don’t wanna run website - fine - just let me download fit or gpx files from my watch and I’ll upload them somewhere else by myself.

If that is your concern why don’t you just sync with suuntolink and on the app make it sync with another service? Then you just check the other service.

@André-Faria As I said - I don’t wanna have a smartphone in that equation. Watch and pc is enough for me. If I knew using watch will require use of phone I wouldn’t ever bought it.
We will be soon in a Dick’s novel where you will need an app to go to the toilet.
-
@Kuba-Gornowicz you don’t need a phone to use your watch, you need a phone only to setup a workflow one time

For those who are not aware, new survey on movescount website.
Good questions going, hope everyone answers, it is your time to talk the use of website, of movescount app, of suunto app, etc etc -
@André-Faria Couldn’t see it on my visit to the site (tho’ I was invited to check out some “Suunto App” thing). Do you have a direct URL to the survey, please?

@André-Faria Thanks.

this survey should not be there. MC is closing in a few weeks.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Damn. 20 minutes wasted on thoughtful contribution and elegant haikus. I KNEW I should’ve filled the boxes with links to cat videos.

strange, I go to movescount almost daily on this pc/browser

No survey for me just a reminder for digital transition, however I just noticed that Movescount now is on HTTPS and not plain HTTP.
Nice move Suunto! -
@André-Faria The term Movescount refers to two different things. It refers to an app and it refers to a website. The app is closing. The website, as far as I know, is not closing.
Assuming that the website is not closing, you will still be able to create routes or record POIs and then transfer them to your watch using the cable.
Ascent/descent is no longer shown on Movescount maps, which is a bit annoying, but is available in the watch when you’ve transferred the route.

Yes, I know, let’s see what happens to the planner (present on movescount site) and interval creator (present on app) and of course app (this one I have no faith they will keep it, but we never know).
Let’s wait.
