@g287-sf Your S9baro will record for 120h in Ultra mode with no charging (or close to that). You will not get HR but you will get great GPS tracks, altitude, etc.

@brad_olwin i’ve read Ultra work better for trail runner than hiker with backpack so i’m a bit affraid of the result. And in all case i’ll have my GPS where i can see all map 1 : 25 000.

It won’t matter if you are hiking, just select trail run mode or create a custom trail run mode. My 100 mile races are not very fast, the watch will do a good job recording.

And watch out for those sneaky ETE/ETA/Distance to POI/End fields.

Just because i can 😂😂😂 and i want to see how my heart work by curiosity ( i already have the feeling when it climb 😅 ) and now how much calories i spend, the epoc ect… I buy a 599€ “toy” i want use each euros of it 😂😂😂

As you don’t go UL, absolutely.

@g287-sf If you mean charging while it’s on your wrist and you’re exercising … I don’t know enough to answer. I think others here might.

Seems to me like the sort of thing to do at the end of each day. Take it off & hook it up while you’re waiting for coffee to brew. Unless you need dining HR, of course.

Yes you can do this, just plug the charger into a battery bank and you can charge the watch whilst it is recording an activity 👍

@miniforklift Is there any hazard to device or charger from sweat, say, getting on either set of contacts (watch or USB)?

The watch should be fine, but I’d make sure that the USB end doesn’t have water/sweat on it. I’ve charged mine during a couple of races where I was sweaty and tipping water over my head and didn’t have any issues

@miniforklift do you think it can cause any trouble for the battery life ?

Thank you all for your answer. Know i have to find motivation to hike alone, plane it correctly, make my bag and move

Works fine. Just no OHR possible.

                                No, it shouldn’t do
