We all know this function is missing to bad…
I’ve an idea again 😂😅 maybe we can create a sport mode who don’t record anything (GPS and optical sensor off) like this it should normaly last as long as the watch mode but we are able to lock it.

Personnaly when i use my bike i wear gloves and it make a mess, changing mode or worst parameters. I’m really, really bored with this…

I can’t understand why Suunto don’t do a small update just for this. To many people ask it…

What do you think about my “idea” i’m not as good as you with this kind of watch, so just asking 😅

@g287-sf I’m not a fan of this workaround. I rather prefer a straight forward solution.
A lot of people complain of not having a lock button in watch mode. I’m sure it is pretty clear to Suunto what to do. It is up to them now if they will implement it or not.

sport mode will record almost everything except GPS and sensor in your workaround, and your battery will not last so long 😞

i have a Spartan since 2016, and i may count on my hand (s) the times when watch mode was accidentally messed up. Button are quite hard to be pressed, and i am not that contorsioning my wirst . But i admit i wear watch on right wrist, maybe my hand protects buttons…

btw, for sure it is a simple feature that should just be part of any watches, but agree with @surfboomerang , i am sure nothing will happen for spartan, and mostly guess for S neither, but…

I’ve try to manage a custom mode just to see. With 70% battery when i set ultra battery, no gps, no HR, low color, no bluetooth it’s anounce around 140hours.

Around 6 days. It’s seem to be not bad. But what a pain just to lock it…

@surfboomerang i was a geek i will jailbreak this watch to unleash it but i don’t now how to do 😞 and no geek here are able to help

@Mff73 i have thinking about wear it on my right arm to but i’m a use my right hand to write and everything, 33yo i wear all watch in left arm

I have the exactly identical issues like you do. my watch can go glove operated almost in every menu… i observed it going into do not disturb and some other settings I definitely do not want to have activated unintendedly.
But as our friends already mentioned: I am with them and would not want a workaround. I would want this solved 🙂 👍

If I remember correctly, Dimitrios is putting this topic on the table in Vantaa every now and then. We just need to lean back and wait for a late santas present 😀

                  Hi all,
                  Any news regarding this?
Why not use 3 sec press on lower button?

I am dismantling and cleaning the awning tent from our winter basecamp and just found that my watch was not sure weather I need a Suunto Plus feature for it or not. Luckily it decided to pick “cross training” as activity, since it is the closest activity for what I’m doing now…
I also appreciate that AI seems to be implemented: S9B decided that I did not want to get disturbed while doing that 😂
