Something went wrong! The ascents measured are not correct. Suunto App shows 2577 m? Strava has 476 m Imported. 476 m should be correct…
      Wahoo shows 519 m…
Maybe a Bug in the App?

@sascha-domres did you correct the elevation on Strava?

@isazi you are right, Strava has correct the ascent automaticly…

maybe it has to do with the fact that I drove part of the route according to a route that I had built with the Suuntoapp. At some point I drove free … My Wahoo bolt showed 519 m ascent after the tour. This value seems very realistic to me. I started my tour at about 300 meters above sea level … So I don’t live in the Alps 🙂

in strava you can basically “switch” between corrected and “measured” altitude.
What would be interesting is to see a link of your activity when you upload it to quantified-self.io. My opinion: there you see the real thing and you can determine by the graph etc if something went wrong

Yes, but only with watches with barometer which are in Strava’s database.

A precise barometer watch is nearby Strava’s corrected data. And Strava’s data concerning the altitude are excellent.

a baro watch should be close to Strava, yep 🙂
his S7 seams to be off by >500%, even with baro… that’s why it would be helpful to see the graph… it’s a bit redundant to the other thread. but well, I understand that, sometimes it’s not easy to match the word used in the thread with the search word someone has in mind

@freeheeler I think that the possibility to calibrate the altitude manually would solve a few problems with the S7.

I do not understand, why this is missing. A precise altitude on the start point and the barometer and fused alti will give perfect data. 👍

I assume that the watch can work properly without covering the barometer.

@sascha-domres lots of spikes on your altitude profile. Do you have a picture of how were you wearing the watch? Maybe something was covering the baro sensor?

it looks very obvious to me

@isazi Okay, thanks for the many answers. It may well be that I covered the barometer with half of my jacket.I didn’t really think about it, I just wanted to see the pulse and route and couldn’t go without a jacket because it was too cold … yes, pushed up and then surely slipped down to the S7

@sascha-domres it’s possible, check if it happens again and if that is the reason. And if you believe there is something wrong with your watch, contact support also.
