@brad_olwin this might help me with a question I have asked. Could I pair in cycling exercise profile a rotor power meter with Suunto 9 Baro and also a combined speed/cadence sensor?
      Thank you in advance.

@gerbow11 yes, that should work fine.

          Hello,

Can I use the garmin cadence sensor with my S9 baro ? I don’t need the speed, I need only the cadence. Problem is in S9 manual it is indicated to use the bike sensor pairing and this pairing will ask for a wheel calibration. Can it be an issue if I try to connect the garmin cadence sensor only ?

I own the suunto bike sensor but I’m not happy with it.

          Thanks

@77alex77 I use Garmin cadence sensor on its own just fine.

Thank you very much, I will order one then.

@77alex77 if by chance you’re ordering from Amazon, don’t mind the comments - do not tear off the sticker in the battery compartment, it’s needed to conduct the electricity.

                  Hello,

Cadence works fine with the Garmin cadence sensor 2. Thanks.

@77alex77 I use garmin Cadence sensor, not with speed, works fine. Sometimes I switch to the speed sensor if I go mountain biking and works fine too. Then back home, switch back to cadence and OK. One at a time!

@tiagospm : hello, thank you for the feedback. How do you switch from cadence and speed data ?

@77alex77 You have to RESYNC the sensor, pairing each one when you will use it. Like I start to ride my indoor bike with the cadence sensor and it activates, then I go to, in S9, the settings pair sensor and select the bike sensor. Then when I go out with the street bike using the speed sensor I have to start spinning the wheel with the speed sensor so it will activate and then go to the S9 select settings pair sensor again and choose the same bike sensor and override the previous sync doing that. Try it and tell me if it works!

Hello and thank you, it is very clear.

At the moment, I own only the cadence sensor. When I buy the speed sensor I will try and I’m pretty sure it will work fine.

@brad_olwin Does this apply to the S9P as well.

I just ordered the bundle Garmin cadence 2 and Speed sensor 2. As I understand I will only be able to use either the cadence OR the speed but not both concurrently?

                            Thanks in advance

@giacomo-laffranchini Yes only one, the broadcasts of the signal is 1:1 so in if in this 1 is not cadence and speed you only get one.

@bulkan Got it, thank you for the clarification.
When I ordered the sensors I guess I misinterpreted the meaning of 1 sensor per type.
