Following a Route in reverse direction

On my Traverse watch, when I select a route the watch asks me if I want to follow the route forward or back.

On the S9, the watch doesn’t ask. It automatically follows the route forward.

I can’t see any way to make it follow the route back.

The only workaround I can think of is to input the route twice, once forwards and once backwards, but to make the user do that would surely be ridiculous.

Am I missing something?

Just start walking your way, the directions arrows will adapt.
