hello everyone, does anyone know a Wear OS app with which you can track sit ups and pushups. By tracking I also mean that the watch then counts (the number of sit ups …). Unfortunately, Google fit has removed this function. In addition to my S9 and S7, I also use the Vertix from Coros. I think it’s really cool that the clock can count that. Maybe there is an app that I can install on the S7 that then syncs to Strava or, even better, to the Suunto app. If you have any tips, I would be happy … Thank you very much
    Sascha.

      @sascha-domres
My personal recommendation is gymrun: https://www.gymrun.app/startpage/standalone-smartwatch-app/wearos-standalone-app
You have to pay a subscription to get the standalone app, and to have the ability to transfer data to google fit, which should then push it to strava.

It doesn’t have the auto-detect, but its so much full featured in other ways.

      Other options:
      JEFIT
      https://www.jefit.com/
Does have a watch portion, but can’t remember quite what it did, just remember it wasn’t as comprehensive as Gymrun.

      Strong:
      https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.strongapp.strong
just remember this as being more basic than the rest.

At the moment I think that the only wearables that auto detect reps are currently in the Garmin range.

@jamie-bg hey, super vielen Dank. Ich schaue mir die Empfehlungen an! Ich kenne nur Garmin, Coros und Samsung Watch die das können… Meine Hoffnung was das irgendwie auch auf die S7 zu bekommen…nochmals besten Dank

@sascha-domres as you said, it used to get there in GFit. Still have no idea why they removed such great functionality. Very stupid.
In fact I don’t see any benefit to any of the google fit changes they have made since september. All been pretty much pointless (looks better but significantly reduced usability).

@jamie-bg I see it 100% the same way. For me that was the only reason to use Google Fit! I would have found it cool to sync my exercises directly with the Suunto app. . Well, that’s the way it is, no end of the world either … I’m really looking forward to the further developments within the Suunto app …👍 😊

@sascha-domres - you could sync them directly into suunto app using SyncMyTracks - however there wasn’t a lot of detail when they came through. All got was duration, avg HR , max HR and calories - didn’t even get HR trend. And at least they are much easier to find in suunto app, than in google fit which is just a long unsearchable list of tracked items.

However GFit would show a list of each type of set and the number of reps i.e.
              Bicep Curl 10 reps.
And would also provide a HR trend. not much overall but better than nothing I suppose.
The real bonus was the auto-type and auto-rep detection. Also like how easy it was to adjust reps, weight and its ability to learn how to detect new activities (but similar ones didn’t always work too well).
