Display protection label on Suunto 9 Baro ?

@dead-mailbox I see. The only thing left that comes to my mind is to try to soft reset the watch (press the upper button for ~ 12 seconds).

This post is deleted! -
@inkognito I’m sorry. This didn’t work either
-
@dead-mailbox Can you post a picture of the watch with the backlight on and off?
-
@dead-mailbox
do you have power saving enabled? this dims the backlight, too. -
@dead-mailbox SUUNTO Sapphire is awesome! No protection needed…
-
@mountainchris
I can confirm that. Normally my watches have scratches pretty quick… after more than 1.5 years with my awesome X-Alps: not a single sign of a scratch on the glass -
Thanx to all of you.
I got in contact with the Suunto support.
There is noch protection film / label on new watches.
The support told me to check the same points as mentioned here.
Even a reset changed nothing.
i’m so sorry - but i have to send it back ;o( -
@dead-mailbox you mean to check whether it’s ok? You may have gotten a faulty unit, so try another one maybe. I’ve heard that s9 screen is a tad dimmer than fenix 6’s but I never had an issue with is, my setting is 20% brightness or so.
-
@dead-mailbox Maybe we can tell you if the unit behavior looks ok if you post some pictures of it.

@surfboomerang
it’s not so easy as it is dependent on the lights around us. But you’re right, I start here with my comparison pics: 100% backlight and no backlight.
Maybe this helps @Dead-Mailbox ?
I am very happy with the readability of my S9B’s screen
