    Hello everyone!

Somehow my HR belt (Suunto Smart Sensor - newest generation/ about 6 months old) is 5-9bpm off.

Today I did some max out intervals and then I manually counted my heat rate.
    HR belt: 180 bpm
    manually: around 187 bpm

I did this more often during this exercise and the HR belt is always a couple of beats lower, than my actual hr is.

Might this be a sign of low battery, or is my HR belt dying again?

    Thanks for your advice!

PS.: 180bpm max HR sounds a bit too low for me (I am 26 years old and really active/ resting HR is 45bpm)

@theguyfromthesummit Max HR is genetic and will vary with the individual. It also decreases with age. If the belt is not working it could be a low battery. Static from tech shirts can cause issues as well.

Hello!! I think the sensor is ok. the variability is approximately 10 bpm, or which is in normal ranges of measurement, you must keep in mind in which part of your body you are taking the fc manually, because there is also variation in that. Greetings!

          Thanks!

I checked some lab testing results (2 years old) and there my max HR was a bit higher (but nevermind, I was just a bit confused).

So if this is still in the normal variability range, I am glad, that the strap still works properly 😄
