As the title says, I forgotten (again) to stop my activity…

Yes, I can crop into QS, OK, but in the case that I would like to keep on my SA to use as data for the “Progress” trend: what is the best workaround?

I can’t import this activity, after edited, into SA, right?
This mean that the best is delete this activity trying to keep my Progress trend clean as possible, right?
I don’t want to have an activity of 4 hours at 130km/h into my Progress trend 🤣
    Thank you!

    EDIT: Resolved!

@flypg You can still download the Fit file, edit it and re-upload it using QS.
It is not super elegant but works

@Egika gave you the best software solution.

Let me add a hardware solution, write in your hand “Stop the watch” maybe it can help. 😂

Are there autolaps on S7? If so, you could activate them, so the constant beeping would remind you to stop the activity. Better than to remember after on hour.

There are. They are only disabled for running if you use the “Running Interval” sports mode.

@aleksander-h great, then, one can use these as a workaround.

@дима-мельниченко Autolaps are triggered based on distance, not on time.
So if you stop and stand still, it will not do anything

@egika the complainant before was about compromising an activity by traveling 130kmh or something afterwards, in a vehicle, I suppose. So it should do a good enough job to partially prevent this.
S7 also has an autopause to disregard staying still, hasn’t it?
I’m not saying it’s a waterproof solution, but seems to be a good enough workaround.

@дима-мельниченко ok, got it. while driving that should trigger. Autopause is currently not in the S7

@egika wow thanks i didn’t notice QS could Upload to SA, nice.

Maybe a “crop activity” function in SA like Strava added ?

i belive these tools work quite well to fix FIT files where there may be issues with the data:

I will try to crop the .fit with a external tool to upload via QS. @Egika in addition to the link that @Jamie-BG suggest me, any other?

@isazi I already voted some long time ago on Ability to edit moves when we forget to stop it Thx! 🙂

or maybe something like the low battery “training soon” reminder: “stopping soon? don’t forget to stop the activity” 😜

@freeheeler I will put a Suunto sticker on my car dashboard, sure it will remind me to check if I already stopped the activity 😰 😁, but @Bulkan suggestion is not discarded… 😅

😂 great idea… unfortunately I tend to forget it more in situations when I do sports with friends and then they drive… I’ll ask them if they’re fine with a Suunto sticker 😉 at least most of them are Suunto guys 👍

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Question: If I doing these steps that I did:

                                          • Download the Suunto FIT file on QS or SA
                                          • Edit on FitFileTools
                                          • Reupload the modified FIT using QS

It can cause some data lost from the activity or another collateral problem that I not took in consideration? Thanks!
