          Hi all,

          Do you have any advice for pairing Stryd footpod to a S9P watch ?

          Do we have to pair it both as a footpod and as a power device ?

          Thanks for your help

            @v-sacre if you pair it as a foot pod you get pace, distance, power, cadence. If you pair it as power pod you only get power. So pair it the way you prefer.

              @v-sacre this video of Joaquin has all the info. Is in Spanish but you can get subtitles in YouTube.

              Tips: the first time you pair go to paired devices in the watch and in the Stryd turn off auto calibration.

                Thank you both for your answers @isazi @Bulkan . It is clear for me.

                Do you have any information on accuracy of stryd in trail running.

                For classic track or road running, it seems stryd are very accurate so it makes sense to upload pace distance and cadence to the watch, but is it alos the case for trail running ??

                  @v-sacre I don’t use Stryd trail running so cannot really help in this case.

                    @v-sacre I have used the Stryd a lot in the past for trail running. If your trails are fairly smooth and without large hills it will work well. My trails are technical and have big climbs. I have not found the Stryd useful at all for trail running. Mine sits on my desk most of the time.

                      I used a Stryd foot pod for trail running on the East Coast of the US. The power metric serves as one more indicator of effort that I am able to use in pacing myself.

                        @brad_olwin read on their forums their current firmware has a delay from 15 to 20 secs when you start going up on a hill to display an accurate power for that effort, they’ve been saying about improving it, so far nothing has been fixed , might be hardware limitation in current model too

                          @v-sacre I always pair both.

                          For road running it’s the best option if you want a high accuracy, and valuable metrics like cadence, power…
                          For trail run, I found useful just when I check after the run, but not when I’m up/down the hills (because I cannot always check the watch).
                          Anyway, I found initially a medium/high investment (200€), but then the time goes on, but the device continue working perfectly after 3 years so I’m quite happy

                          I hope this help

                            @herlas It is not just uphill issues but more to do with effort on technical terrain and downhill effort, which the Stryd simply cannot measure or cope with.
