New Android Diary Section
-
Now (with today’s version 3.29) calories are ok
-
Enjoy !!!
-
Just synchronized today’s run (which worked after a single crash of the app) … still no steps or calories
-
@shrek3k maybe I don’t remember but did you clear the app data ?

Thanks for asking … and I have to admit that I did not clear the data.
But - I just wanted to report, that the app nevertheless succeeded, and has been able to “push the data through”, so that today’s steps and calories just appeared (on the 4th synchronization today). -
@shrek3k No worries and good to hear! I get lost with many people here and the procedures sorry for not remembering.
-
Your reminder has been perfect and is highly appreciated. By the way … today’s steps and calories have been synced, too (with the usual manual prodding … no automatic sync … there is only the green mark, stating that the last successful sync has been yesterday … but the manual start worked again (via the menu))

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I continue with very unstable diary section in the last version (3.30.0). Just scroll up and down very quickly and app freezes and need to kill and restart.
Can you confirm if this version has improvement in this area or we need to wait for new version?
Thanks!

@suzzlo I have the same issue. Even worse mine takes about 1m to load. Reported

@suzzlo fixed. Update please
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I was just trying to find this topic for update with new feedback
Now it is super-fast YEAH!!!
In the first tests I cannot (scrolling, editing workouts,…) reproduce freezes. YEAH!!!What I have noticed, is that now, I cannot pull down to refresh, and I think it was available in previous versions. I will not available in future manual update? what if I delete/update/create backend server? Perhaps it will be disabled since now the app is just mobile first (and unique) and MC, Strava… are going to be “external” apps that just receive data…
-
@suzzlo Yeah that is still to fix. I workarround it via going to feed and then to diary. That should update from the Backend can you test?
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos 2 questions:
- When you say backend, is SportsTracker, doesn’t it?
- Really will update? It is so fast that I cant imagine that there is a previous workouts reload…
I will try ASAP
-
@suzzlo it is SportsTracker powered the Cloud aka backend if that makes sense.
When I refer to the backend I am refering to the data coming from the could.
I had (and still kinda have) the following issue (to be fixed)
At the previuous version it went like this:
- I edit a workout
- Takes ages to update
- Go to dirary
- Back to workout
- Do not see my pictures or descritpion
Now:
- I edit a workout
- Go to feed
- Go to diary
- See updated info
So I am quite sure when you go to feed and then to diary it will update the info from the backend,
-
Uhmmm
My Test:
Just update description:
- Change description in ST, no update directly in diary (we know that since we cannot update from that section) --> KO
- Change description in ST, go to workouts detail and no update --> KO
- Change description in ST, go to Home, return to diary and sometimes update (I think it depends on time, because if I wait some more time, it finally update) --> OK
- Change description in ST, go to Home, pull-down, return to diary and always update (I think it depends on time) --> OK
Perhaps if SA add pull-down to update in diary and workout detail windows, we could totally close this issue.
Really happy about speed, really really!!!
Thanks! -
@suzzlo yeah my observations as well. Should be improved.
Next version I am testing atm and oh it has some nice goodies.
-
I am not sure it this is the right thread, but “likes” still disappear in the latest Android version.
-
@suzzlo
Pull down doesn’t work for you ?
It seems it’s working for me , or at least I see the spinning icon.… maybe you are talking about the diary section ?
-
It’s true in the diary I have less “likes” than in the workout detail.
Good catch!
