      Previously, I had a brand news Suunto 7 that I simply couldn’t get to grip with how bad it’s battery life was! I made a decision to get rid of it and move to Garmin Fenix 6 Solar. Fast forward 4 months and I found myself missing the simplicity of Suunto UI, the gorgeous OLED and touch screen so it was inevitable that I went ahead and purchased a as new S7 from EBay.

      I had to re-visit this topic because to address some points I was initially extremely disappointed with the S7 battery life.

      The old the S7 was paired with an IPhone 11 Pro Max

      The new watch is paired with my Samsung S22 ultra.

      So far after 4 charging cycle, I can confirm that the watch surpassed my expectations. I am getting 2 days from 100% to about 9% battery.

      My assumption here is that my old S7 was either faulty or the connection with my IPhone was poor.

      Whilst we are on this topic, I would like to ask a question to some Wearos users if they are familiar with any of these apps that came pre-installed in the watch.

      Also whilst turning off the watch I do get this bizarre message.

      Some of those installed apps serve this purpose

        @binoworld-uk Someone sold you a field test watch. There may be issues with the watch as the firmware on the field test watches will not support all of WearOS functions. Sorry that this was listed for sale, that should not have happened.
        @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos might be able to help you out with how to proceed. The serial number on the back of the watch may have a PVT on it, if so it is a test watch.
        In the US the S7 is on sale for a very good price, I don’t know if it is on sale where you are.

            @binoworld-uk Epix. 6 Days AOD on / 14-16 AOD off battery life; +25hrs continuous GPS tracking- gorgeous AMOLED
            Touch screen makes a massive difference to the garmin UI on the watch - just being able to long press on a data complication to go straight to the widget, swiping up down to get widget glances, then being able to press in to get more data and or even pan through the last 12hours of a that widgets data.
            Maps are also a lot, lot, lot more user friendly and putting the touch option on a hotkey makes it easy to turn touch on/off for just maps for example.

            They are also slowly making more strides in regards of changing the UI to make it more touch friendly while still retaining its workability with buttons.

              @jamie-bg unfortunately I don’t own an Epix. Mine is a Fenix 6.

              Thanks for sharing
