Calories very low during workouts

My Suunto 9 Baro has started acting strangely when calculating calories, and only registering around 1/3 of what it used to. As an example today I tracked a workout on Zwift for 30 mins whilst tracking HR using a wahoo Tickr 2 linked to my watch and to the wahoo app.
Wahoo app = 346 cals (consistent with previous workouts)
Suunto 9 = 96 calsI also tried a workout using the strap linked to wahoo and wrist HR on the watch and had a big difference between results again.
I’ve tried a soft reset on the watch and it’s not made a difference.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

@be1t0n Check the zones settings and if using OHR make sure it is realistic. It seems the HR values may be off.

@brad_olwin Bingo. For some reason my resting heart rate and zone values had changed from where they were set previously. Resting heart rate was set to 155bpm

looks a bit noisy at first but 0% in any zone… are your previous records of swimming similar? -

I’m wondering if the weight has shifted for some reason. If settings are maybe on ultra light, the consumed energy could be that low… but this wouldn’t explain the empty bar graphic -
@freeheeler Yes. I am going to do hard reset.
It is not easy without a backup of your training settings.

I know, setting up sport modes can be a pain…
before you do a hard reset, could you please try a soft reset and check your settings?
my wife recently had problems getting HR values with her S7, but a restart of the watch solved it. -

@piotr-grygiel Can you answer my questions about how you have HR zones set in the watch? I don’t want you to hard reset until you have to. Do you have specialized zones set up for running and cycling? Do you have zones set up for general? All of this is in the watch not the app.

Hard reset done. On Monday I’m going for a swim and see if the reset has helped.
