@freeheeler thank you very much for sharing. I couldn’t find the 2.20.30 release, which is the second latest. Any idea where to get this one?

any trick how to install the “older” firmware? I’ve dragged and dropped the .zip file content to Suuntolink and connected the watch. It shows still the latest firmware. Does it need to be a Windows device?

@zhang965 I´ll check in a couple hours or latest tomorrow how fast the capacity will go down.

After 12h and battery save mode the capacity went from 100% to 10%. So, the firmware downgrade didn’t help 😞

@freeheeler not even 2 years, bought it in April 2021.
I’ve contacted Suunto support, they suggesting to sent the watch for an inspection. I guess it will turn out in a costly repair.

@maxm23 if you watch is less than 2 years old is covered by warranty in EU, so you probably will not have to pay anything.

@isazi I hope so, it is big hurdle to request the repair.
The system don’t let proceed and save the data. Struggling since more than one hour. I’m frustrated and disappointed in Suunto service.

some fields are required that are not very obvious as I remember… fortunately I don’t need this service frequently…
but please don’t give up, service is fast and great! I bet they can help you ✊

@freeheeler you were right, the Suunto service performed outstanding. I’ve sent the watch, they changed the battery and sent it back within a couple days. No charges at all.

Hi, I have the same issue with my S9B.
Drains from 100% to 0% in less than 24 h in flight mode and with battery saving on.
Tried the discharge cycle, soft & hard reset as well as a downgrade to 2.16.26 without any improvement.

My watch is over 2 years old so no warranty will help me. Sending it for service seems costly as I am quite sure it is a firmware issue as more people are experiencing exactly the same problems and often from one day to the other.

Did you or anyone else actually solve this issue?

if you did a downgrade to the previous firmware but the battery drain remains, then I would exclude firmware as a potential root cause

@freeheeler I hear what you say.
As the issue came one day to another it seems very illogical that the battery quality gave up?

I can see that other have had the same issue with battery going from 5 day to less than 24 h and not been able to resolve it via hard resets or downgrading. So to me it have to be a cause to this. If not firmware, what else could be the issue?
