More watchfaces

The UX has seen some welcome changes in the past 10-odd years from A1/2/3 to Spartan and now 9PP/Vertical although still sluggish and slow for new products. UI is however another matter and if it were my way, I would love to blend Suunto’s industrial design team with an independent UI team who might listen to the customer’s voice rather than keep repeating the same mantra every year. Frankly all this talk is good but sadly it has occurred before and is very likely to be ignored by Suunto.

@Lexlehtor Agreed, I think they looks great! I’m kinda bit bored with the current ones, definitely would be nice to have a fresh look. That’s probably one of the few things I actually liked about Garmin, they had tons of watchfaces to choose from and they were easily able to be modded to suit you

I don’t mind disappearing seconds as long as the rest is properly re-centered. But the option to always display seconds would also be welcome.

YES. That is what I need as well! - Pleeeeeease suunto give us more analog watchfaces with adjustable complications!
So I am able to decipher the time while not wearing glases AND being able to come up with stant information during the day. That would be awesome.AND I would assist implement some of them. Let us help. I am a software engeneer and I speak almost every programming language that you could possibly throw at me…
Btw. I am a new vertical owner. Have my timepiece for three days now. The latest update is great - Everything just works fine for me. Except the choice of analog watchfaces that can be customized is a problem here…

We need more watchfaces At least according to the festival Christmas, New Year, running events.

I’m from a few days owner of Suunto Vertical (before I had S9B). I was impressed that from transition from the S9B to the SV there are some watchfaces (6 of 10!) identical to the S9B…
Honestly I expected new watchfaces but 10 of available around 6 are identical to the S9B !!! It’s no good for a new watch …more better and new would be good!!!
For example there isn’t a watchface with barometric graph/trend like in S9B…it would be nice (on the SV default watchface) change (with tap) the altimeter graph with the barometric graph in the bottom…or similar watchface like S9Baro.
I hope in the future sw relase !!!

The best will be choose the graph alt or barometer in the bottom of main watch face with the tap like the others.

In case I’m just that stupid and not Suunto… There’s no way to put my heart rate and the outside temperature on my watch face? Seriously. It must be me, right?

The outside temperature is available on several watch faces but not all. HR is not available on any.

Hi Suunto Community…
I am having a hard time (now having a heart stent because of stenosis).
I will look at all the new features on the sofa
I am now looking often at my heart rate to do it I always open the widget and check the evolution but after a few minutes, the widget gets closed automatically.
I don’t want to start an activity to see my heart rate activity. I wondered if Suunto could implement a watch face showing live heart rate instead of going to the widget every 3min.

@Wilson75 hey i wish you the best for your heard. Did you have a sudden heart Attack? Where you got the coronary stent? Left main artery or right artery? I work in a Heart cath lab 🤩 make all sports slow now… Your heart need time to heal fully. Give you time!

concerning the watchfaces, I agree, I own a Race and its wonderful screen could be used in a better way by paying more attention to the UI design and usability. In my opinion, about half of the available watchfaces are ugly, while many of the others look not that nice when only partially on (rise to wake) … at the end I always use the same one, which not really satisfy me.

I really like Suunto’s watch face in general. One of the watch face is oriented for fitness but heart rate data is missing on this.
I wanted to share my experience for improvement or idea
to Suunto even if they have plenty of ideas.

I’d be happy to help program watch faces. What’s the language? C, Forth, Assembly, or?
I’d like a 24 hour “analog” display with Sun (hour), Moon (and its phase), Mercury, …, Jupiter along the Ecliptic dial.

I love default Suunto Vertical SOLAR watchface, still hope we will have Steel version watchface in Solar, as a new, or just by clicking solar to change it into altitude. Such an easy thing to do. Steel > Solar watchface
