Let's talk about the "clickiness" of the digital crown button

crown clickness on my Race comes and goes, when it was new it clicked hard, then softer, once disappeared, but then recovered to disappear again … at the moment it is soft clicking pleasantly, changes seem to be unrelated to any external cause to me, I manage the Race quite carefully, never put it into water, my sport activity is moderate, so the crown isn’t solicited that much …

@Stefano-M64 polar opposite for me
I’ve worn my SS Race 24/7 since I got her in January so she’s in the shower every day, been swimming in the sea many times & on my wrist at work.
I work in the telecoms industry so she finds herself thrust into shit filled underground chambers all the time & then washed off with industrial strength hand cleaner & wet wipes…
She’s still like the day I got her in both appearance & crown ‘clickiness’, seems tough as old boots to me & I seriously couldn’t be happier with her (even more so after yesterdays awesome update).

@sartoric
Thanks,
I was encouraged by previous posts and some knowledge in solvents, sealing and cleaning agents, also, my post should warn all unlucky customers… if this happens - nothing will back your click again :() -
Had my Race S for almost 3 weeks now. I’m not sure if it’s always been like this, but my top button is way clickier than the bottom button, which feels soft and a bit muffled (not as satisfying).
Even my crown feels clickier than the bottom button, i wonder if there’s any way to recover the clickiness, or if it came out of the box that way!

Hello, Race friends. I know it’s an old topic but if you permit me I’ll use it to ask my question here.
It’s been a while since my Race all black lost the clickiness of the crown button. Also due to that the movement of the crown when you push it I has become kind of shorter. The Race is hands down my favorite watch ever. But this hardware issue has been getting on my nerves for a while now and I’d like to have it resolved.
I’ve tried to submerge the watch in lukewarm water but no change whatsoever.
Has anyone tried sending in the watch for repair? Does Suunto repair this kind of problem? Does the problem reappear after a while?
Yesterday I bought a brand new SV, so I can afford to spend some time without my favorite watch.
Thank you. -

I own my Race for more than one year, its clickness comes and goes, sometimes is softer others stronger, now it is quite strong.
I never did something to improve or recover the clickness, have no idea why it behaves that way, but at the end I just don’t care -
Happened to me a few times. I solved it with alcohol prep pads. Just slide it carefully between the crown and the watch body and rub few times.

On my Race the clickiness seems to be irreversibly gone. No clickiness and the movement is sort of shallow. Tomorrow it will be picked and delivered to the repair center in Slovenia. Let’s see what they’ll do.

@Prenj I can confirm - this too worked for me.
