    @oeagleo said in Calories consumption:

    2000 calories for an hour run seems a bit high for me, I hardly get 1300 for an hour and a half bike ride, but then, as all of the above has said, insure your physical stats are correct in both the watch, and Movescount, and especially your activity level. When comparing my Suunto with “another brand”, I discovered this website that gives estimation of calorie count based upon your heart rate. I found Suunto’s calorie expenditure closest of the one’s I’ve checked.

    I think he just ran with 200km/h speed 😄

      I do not know .I have just made the test from your link and it showed 1444 cal. There is a lot of distance to 1991 cal.

        @konstantinos-kex
        Consider that the website calculation is based on average HR only, while the watch (maybe, as we do not know the algorithm) uses all the live data.
        That said … it could be wrong as already happens for other metrics 🙂 but it’s just an estimate

              I’ll check with @konstantinos-kex as we did change his zones. I needed to call him , as he is Greek and I am in Greece ATM, and setup his zones like mine as having the same age.

              However as said bifre he runs in a high heart rate. That is not bad or alarming but it’s iether a belt problem either his hr is way higher.

              @konstantinos-kex in short with this hugh hr and your height / kilos sounds normal. But maybe the hr belt here is the problem.

              Let’s have a call at Monday, as I just return from.weekend.

                  the maximum heart rate by age has no value. As my trainer always says, if you did not test your maximum heart rate with a test, I was left alone with workout after heart rate.

                        I need some help:
                        I train with my Ambit3 Sport. But I cannot find out if the calorie count in my Spinning mode has my basic metabolism included in the calorie count or not.
                        Here is an example:
                        1 hour pretty intense bike ride on a stationary bike with watt measurement. The bike says 280w avg and 1060 cal burned (deduct the BMR leaves me with approx. 930 cal burned for the ride). Suunto also tells me that I have burned 930 cal. If Suunto does NOT take into account that I would have burned 130 cal/h anyway by doing nothing then everything matches up.
                        But can I be sure, that I should NOT deduct 130 cal from the Suunto number?
