@Kamal Of course and it has been suggested numerous times, I’m sure. Stair climbing should be a separate sport profile in the watch because currently I have to use Aerobics profile to avoid getting nonsense distance and other indoor running metrics. Then sync it to the app and change the activity to vertical running, so I can add actual elevation gain and number of steps. Probably same can be done using other profiles, but none of that is ideal.
Stair climber profile should record/show number of steps, step cadence (should be easy even if the hand is resting on the handle as there is still plenty of subtle wrist movement for accelerometer to read), and elevation gain! (from steps where you can set custom step height under exercise options, usually 20 cm).
Setting the step length could be optional to calculate distance as well.
