@brad_olwin said in Many of you were not here.....: was howling and foot stomping and many, many complaints… that was long before Suunto tied every of their new devices to Movescount so tight with Movescount that nearly 95% of the settings need to done there without a realistic chance to adjust it ‘on the fly’ on the watch, all products came out was prominently advertised “works with Movescount” in reality you need to have an Movescount account to operate your watch , now a decade later the same company don’t longer want to hear their old message to be heard but trying to get an easy cheating way out of this product strategy but to your point: no it’s not the same ps; it’s always good to start a new topic with a patronizing headline “Many of you was not here” make you a lot of new friends in a splitsecond

@ollemelin That’s also my view. I just can’t remember all steps nor do I want to do so. Otherwise why would I need a piece of electronics…?

@martin Either delete app cache, or desinstall and reinstall. It will reload from cloud all you real activities.

@brad_olwin and in other side even movescount didn’t have feature to crop activity if i forget to stop it after hike. And with multiple services it is synced to strava and other. But then when i crop/edit in one service this changes are not mirrored to another service so data are fragmented. In other hand if suunto didn’t abandone movescount but enhanced it with few popular functions it could be one and only service one could ever need.

I think Suunto is slowly winding down the service or if that’s not the case then the service is definitely having some issues lately.

@chrish Very nice part of the world. Spent an excellent week looping east of Yosemite last fall. Nothing but sun and I failed to injure myself for once. Enjoy Vengeance 2.

@vdngcn said in General Feedback after 2 months with my new Ambit 3 Peak: @remib upload gpx route on a3 on iphone. get full browser, and dropbox. https://www.instagram.com/p/BoHmwq4n22U/?hl=en Great tip that app Full Browser … However, it seems I would have to sync from MC (app for iPhone or www on a pc) to upload for real the route to the watch… But at the same time, I have to use SA to export a track in gpx from a recorded activity, provided I am connected to internet (as already mentioned in my previous post… :-/) And finally of course, MC and SA apps cannot work together on a smartphone… Well, well, well. It looks like I am not done with scratching myself the winter hat

Suunto make desktop app for legacy devices just for syncing to suunto app, screen customizations and etc on the watch itself that’s all, problem solved.

@chrish MC transfer to SA will be one shot. One shot for all your moves at the transfer date. But MC will still be usable for New moves until… But new moves still won’t sync to SA and mass transfert won’t be possible anymore. Only once.

@TELE-HO said in Movescount history import completed, ..., but wrong values !!!: @FredMt and the alti graph? all correct? no gaps? Alti graph seemed to be ok, except that pauses doesn t appear on graph of SA. So curve is not stricly the same. But it seemed that it s not a problem. BUT i see an error with max speed !: correction that i have made on Movescount web (in my example 54km/h ! Very good for trekking activity edit to reduce to 6km/h) is not taking into account in SA. So for max speed field, situation is that i have 6km/h in Movescount web (i think it s a value i have corrected) and 54km/h on SA… what is the problem with this field now?

A little update. The thing with MaxHR is that actually it is saved under the name PeakHr so it is not shown in .json. I managed to get that information and here is what I did, in case someone else could profit from it. First I wrote simple Python script to extract MoveID from each move in that .json file. Second I wrote a JMeter https://jmeter.apache.org/ script to go through all my moves in Movescount by MoveID and save that PeakHr value for each move. Third I wrote another Python script to merge fetched PeakHr value with other data and saved all my moves to .csv file. Fourth I wrote yet another Python script that will look Movescount data folder (c:/Users/UserName/AppData/Roaming/Suunto/Moveslink) for new .xml files and if new file is found all the useful content is added to .csv file. Mainly time of the exercise and hr values. Also script asks user to type name of the activity and distance traveled. I created this last script to extract new moves from filesystem rather than from Movescount. All in all I guess I am ready to migrate from Movescount now. Thanks for your all help and happy moving!

sometimes when need specific zone training, I use HR limit funtion by setting the lower and upper limit to the zone I want to train in, the watch will alert if you are out of the limits. @creativefelon if your question refers to above, then you can set those limits using SuuntoLink on a computer, by editing the sport modes you defined.
