I use the alarm on my (Android) phone which in turn send the alarm to my watch. Even in Cinema mode it is possible to silence/snooze the alarm. It is a slight faff to do so, but it is possible. There was mention on this forum of an app that allows you to schedule the turn on and off of Cinema mode, so maybe you could use that to turn Cinema mode off a few minutes before your alarm goes off? In theory that should work?

@flypg I really hope so mate! If a decent number of S7 users request the feature then surely Suunto will pay attention and hopefully include it in the next update.

Usually it is not necessary to use a high amp charger as the charging circuit in the watch will never allow high currents anyway. If the battery is in deep discharge then a state of the art charging circuit will trickle charge it until it can come back to a normal charge. This is why it can take a long time on the charger until he device comes back to life. Thus the recommendation for deep discharged devices is: leave it on the charger for a longer time. I would only call it defective if it does not come back after a day or so. This does not solve the initial high discharge though…

@tyresej4 depends on my use. I’m getting anything between 18-24 hrs. Using notifications for email and WhatsApp, doing light workouts twice a day, and using sleep recording. I have the GPS set to the lower setting as its not really necessary to have it very accurate for what I’m doing for now. I have uninstalled you tube music, and haven’t used Spotify yet…only have the watch a couple of weeks.

@g-q I still love my S7, it does most of what I need it do. My worry is that Suunto have dropped it and as such issue like this will never get resolved (admittedly it doesn’t happen often, but it’s too frequently). I really hope there is a replacement to the S7 coming. As it won’t last forever will need to be replaced, there isn’t really anything else like it out there.

@kajkom Have you restarted the watch? That usually solves any connection or slow response issues.

@flypg thanks for the tip. I did manage to connect my S7 to the internet through hotspot from my other phone and it connected fine. This tells me the Wifi I am using has an issue. Thanks

@Balázs-Hencz @flypg answered, make sure you are connected to the charger and to WiFi. You need both to download the route map. It works for me as well.

@herlas everything is ok, that’s how I have it in my Suunto 7, my opinion is that you are still at the end of the first zone and “moving” to the next one
