@wurzlsepp Thank you, good point. I think turn-by-turn waypoints are ignored in Ambit, because it doesn’t support them. So probably there are some other type of waypoints (that can be deleted in Suunto app as you said).

@thailon said in Suunto ambit3 peak cant found gps signal for an hour. Did any tips to help ?: I just wanted to know this combination. Just for information. A3 user guide is quite complete and, among other bits that might not be too obvious, covers the service menu - https://www.suunto.com/Support/Product-support/suunto_ambit3_peak/suunto_ambit3_peak/features/service-menu/

I know that this bug is not solved, but on my side I just use Komoot or ridewith gps to do the routes, send it to movescount, and then watch and on the watch the ascent/descent profile matches the one of komoot. I know it is another site to register, another file to pass, adding entropy and possibility of failiure, but it is a “solution”, at least for my usage. Hope to have helped

@DWils said in Suunto A3P - syncs multiple logs: Is that enough, or do I need to do a full sync another way? Thanks - I will try SL on my PC now… I’m afraid that syncing with SL doesn’t make any difference in this case. I’ve believe I’ve seen something similar (A3P, SA, Android) but never really bothered. And I don’t think it actually pulls all those activities from the watch, it’s more like syncing with logbook entries as it’s just too fast. Just for reference - syncing a a full logbook with SA takes about an hour. But I hardly ever monitor what Suunto App actually does or reports while syncing, for me it all just works in the background and I just get my new activity notifications few minutes after getting close to my phone. What you can do is forcing a FW update through Moveslink2 (or factory reset or something similar in Suuntolink), this will clear watch logbook and SA should be back on track. It will also reset your recovery status, steps and probably few other datasets so you might need to teach it your swimming styles again.

@Prenj I feel the same way, let me explain why. I bought A3PS customized, two S3 for a gift for my wife and brother one Spartan Trainer for my sister in law, Spartan WHR Baro(returned it after it failed got Full refund after a year of use) Spartan Ultra which i gifted to my friend after getting wrist version, I have an old A3P that made buy a customized version of it because it was such a perfect watch I wanted everyday and special occasion. I purchased all possible wrist bands for S9B, S9B for myself, about 7 heart belts for all the people I gifted, Traverse Alpha also, Amber brands I have spent about 10 grand on Arcteryx, thats pretty much buying everything that fits sometimes in all colors available. These purchases were all in last 3 years, I started buying Suunto after wearing leather X Lander watch over a decade ago that was a gift to me. I have never purchased Garmin watch any other sports watch brand other than Suunto. (Only mechanical watches that are not competition like rolex sub, breitling b1, omega planet ocean one for land air and sea) Put yourself in my position as a person who spends this much money on a company. I don’t want discounts, free sensors, all I want is fully functional customized orange A3P 2017 watch that I wear on very specific occasions to have power functionality. That disappeared after i switched to SA and I want my route profile back. Is that too much to ask? It is not rocket science. When my customer ask for a specific metric on a 2 million dollar machine that i retrofitted them, for example a gear mesh vibration sensor and energy expenditure of a servo during specific operation I give them that same day before sun hits the horizon.

@margusl That’s super useful! I occasionally start a workout to check if a sensor is working after a battery change or something and then have to delete them from Movescount, TrainingPeaks and Strava - I had no idea there was a way to stop a workout and not save it. Although I definitely prefer the default to be to save the workout rather than having to make sure I don’t hit the wrong button at the end of a workout and accidentally discard it (mentioning no names cough Garmin 310XT cough)…

@brad_olwin The Runalyze method seems quite unrealsitic for me as well, as several times happend that a few days of hiking elevated the fitness level more, than 2 months of training in running (maybe i am training wrong ) thanks for the options i will check on the other solutions, until the SA will come up with some relevant options.

Hi Guys, recently I discovered some strange “issues” with the HR tracking on my Ambit 3 Peak. I uploaded an activity on the Movescount app what was than synchronised with the Suunto app. Afterwards later my bluetooth connection was left on, and I opened the Suunto app and it have synchronised with the watch as well. The move was duplicately in my history. I checked both, and there was a completely different HR graph, with a completely different max and mins, and HR zones although the average was the same. The first one was from the movescount and the second from the Suunto app. The max HR with 212bmp is obviously a wrong measurement, in the Suunto app, but its a bit strange that from the same measuremnts the two applications read differently the data. Do you have any explanation for this? Have somebody had a same issue? Thanks in advance, br Gábor [image: 1610308338434-img_4525.png] [image: 1610308338320-img_4526.png]

@sartoric Well, yes, but the category should be self explanatory D’oh. Of course! Momentary idiocy attack here. Apologies. On the other … the OP’s title was pretty precisely about bearing rather than heading in compass degrees, hence the workaround process, so I wasn’t quite sure what you meant by “it” being visible in compass mode.

@margusl said in gps settings for ambit 3 vertical: @markg said in gps settings for ambit 3 vertical: but it’s strange that the third generation watch is less accurate than the first It’s the missing antenna bump. I wondered if that was why. Still OK for most purposes, my sport doesn’t allow GPS navigation (rightly in my view - route finding and navigation is part of the skill set) so the record is accurate enough for what I need.
