Okay, so out of nowhere it started to show notifs as I expected. Only change I’ve made since last try, I used Clear Data option in service mode and that’s it.

@Gregor-Tušar Which version of Moveslink2 do you have? I think 1.5.0 is the latest, but it is available for a while. You might check you HR belt contacts if you have been using for a long time, I just replaced mine (just the belt). Which mobile app do you use: Movescount App or Suunto App? Never had issues with Moveslink2 on PC and Movescount App on iOS 13 is okay-ish (sport modes change not always sync at first time).

@Mff73 Moveslink2 was the answer, thank you! I forgot that Suuntolink is useless for A2.

@Marcin-Byrtek yeah right, default is on, but what if you got your Vertical used or tested by someone (like mine) and wasn’t set up by you? Maybe I could reset at some point my watch to see how is the default ON state

@suunto867 said in RESOLVED: Movescount and device settings out of sync. Please synchronize your Suunto Ambit3 Peak now!: It seems not very intuitive to have to force the sync from the watch while plugged into the USB. Did you made those Movescount changes while your watch was plugged in? Or perhaps you didn’t have internet connection at that moment you plugged in your watch? Or was your firewall concerned about Moveslink2 making connections? There’s no active connection, polling from Moveslink2 side or pushing setting updates from Movescount. Thus Moveslink2 application starts it chat with Movescount service only after you’ve connected your watch to USB and it has synced data from the watch, it then checks just once with MC if there’s anything new to send to the watch. So you either make your Movescount changes before connecting to usb, reconnect your watch to trigger new sync or force sync manually. You also might just had a random glitch or there was some short term issue at Movescount side. Autosync option in the watch menu only affects syncing with mobile app.

@isazi Thanks for the advice. Got back my old cable and it worked. The thing is that this old cable’s clip broke and i have to hold and press the watch against it while synchronizing. The new cable is form Suunto and just started malfunctioning. Going to see if warranty applies.

@Timbo , ummm… in most cases I would avoid “Suunto” and “open” in the same sentence Are you aware of https://www.suunto.com/Content-pages/digital-service-transition/?setcountry=en ? The future of those apps and pretty much anything related to Movescount is not exactly clear at the moment.

@Steradiant no I don’t think it’s possible. The best thing todo is just manually pause.

It makes browsers to complain about Cross-Origin Resource Sharing, once this is addressed, Mapquest service responds with: The AppKey submitted with this request is invalid. In others words, not much end users can do about it.

@Olli2709 I would have service do this, you could ruin the watch seal or worse.

@vinko-miketek please read here https://www.suunto.com/Support/faq-articles/transition/how-do-i-use-the-suunto-services-with-ambit2/ And after you setup Suunto App you can connect your account with your Strava account, then when you sync your watches using SuuntoLink your activities will be uploaded to Strava

@aksta70 said in Smart sensor belt fault: Smart sensor belt does not seem to pick up correct heart rate or sometimes nothing at all. Belt is about a year old. Is there a shelf life for these? The belt has been washed, I wet the patches before use and new battery in the sensor itself but still not working It is the one with movesense area in black or grey?

@mvpereira I used a Polar OH1+ (which is fundamentally the same as the Verity) by wearing it on the same wrist as the Ambit3 and found that the signal travelled 2-3cm under water and thus the connection remained if I wore them close enough together. I’m now using a Fenix 3 on which Garmin have disabled recording of HR when swimming and I use the OH1 in recording mode, export the file from Polar Flow after the swim and then add it to my swim workout in TrainingPeaks - TrainingPeaks then combines the HR and the swim details from the Fenix 3. Either option should work for the Ambit3.
