@Oelof I’m using both moveslink2 and suutnolink on my computer, BUT you cannot use Suuntolink when moveslink2 is active (running) so you have to kill the moveslink2 task, then Suuntolink works fine. I’m using this method with my A3 and SSS. When using the A3 I tend to do the opposite, kill Suuntolink before running moveslink2, then everything is fine in A3 land. It is very confusing, and I’m currently getting issues with movescount passing data to Stryd, it’s passing moves multiple times. But everyone is / has updated their links for SA so the answers you tend to get is WHY are you still using Movescount?

@oelof Heyho, I also was curious about the charging current so i measured it using an USB Amperemeter (or Multimeter, you can get these rather cheap on amazon etc., looks like a USB Stick with a display). Anyway, the maximum charging current of my Traverse Alpha was 80mA, which is rather low. The problem with some power banks is, that they assume that the plugged in device is fully charged once the charging current drops below a certain threshold. In your case, this threshold might by above 80mA, so the charging mode of the power bank is not triggered since it thinks the device is already fully charged, due to the low charging current of the watch (as mentioned by andrasveres above). Portable solar panels might show the same behavior. If your power bank has two or more inputs, you can try to confirm this by plugging in your smartphone (or something similar which accepts a larger charging current) to one plug and the watch to the other to prevent the power bank from stop charging. Also a word on available charging currents: In case of the Traverse watch, it makes no difference if your charger can provide 2A or 1A. The load (watch) will take the current which it needs (80mA). A “stronger” charger wont speed up the charging of the watch. This is only valid for devices which drain more than 1A. Hope that helps. Cheers!

@andreatraverseas non saprei, non ho mai visto un Traverse dal vivo quindi non so se le attività si possono cancellare o meno.

@Mauerwegler said in Some new Traverse Alpha?!: a variant of it would make sense in Golf mode to count the strikes, wouldn’t it? That feature was based on recognizing a hunting rifle recoil, not very easy to be confused as any other arm movement

@crashnorun It is not mandatorily every 2/3 days, but at the very least 15/30min before a GPS activity. For your watch to get AGPs éphéméride file and parse it correctly. The fix should be quicker.

@isazi I contacted them but they said they can’t send me screws and top covers. I have to send the watch to the service, there is a fee of 80-100 euros for change. 1 euro is equal to 10 turkish lira very expensive

@chaichaichai said in Sports modes in Suunto App: Re: Traverse Alpha and Movescount or Suuntoapp /…/.the Suunto site and the App site doesn’t seem to provide a list Check the Movescount column of https://apimgmtstfbqznm5nc6zmvgx.blob.core.windows.net/content/MediaLibrary/docs/Suunto Watches- SuuntoApp -Movescount-FIT-Activities.pdf for the list of activity types. With just few exceptions (like Triathlon), most of those should be available in Traverse.too.

@isazi hi, new to this too but I found the answer. You can only change the GPS once you’ve started recording. Go into options >Navigation>location I think it is and there you can change it. You won’t find the option if you aren’t recording. So you can’t set it as default to what setting you’d like which is a shame…

@margusl I see. I did a test and your absolutely correct as it didn’t do what I needed it to do. It is true that it is pleasing to the eye and I like to see the overall overview rather then broken segments of the trail. I unfortunately can’t figure out how to use Geoape. Hoping there was something a more “basic” haha. @Egika I agree and it looks like that is my option to just track it day by day. I would like to switch it as mention from other members that it is more appealing to the eye and provides a nice overview of the trail.

@alenkosmat only Suunto could fix this by further developing the Ambit integration into SA… but my feeling is, this is not going to happen. You can still use MC for this afaik.

@A-Ryan Not sure if this helps, but I just tried my Traverse on my PC with Windows 10 and the latest Suuntolink version. It functioned normally (so it’s not that Traverse is not compatible). Hope you can figure out the issue.

@Abel-Faraday , is this in correct sub-forum and the watch you are talking about is indeed Traverse? By request, do you mean this: [image: 1587125696223-7872b65f-db8b-4e51-9e9a-c161db8e46c0-image.png] or something else? If you are happy with Suunto App and don’t care about your Moves reaching movescount.com , you can just ignore that message.
