@isazi I’m doing indoor cycling regularly and don’t have this issue. Once or twice I had lower HR for the first few minutes but I think that I started the activity immediately without waiting for HR indicator to stabilize first… When I wait for it to get stable, than it works OK.

Okay I just did my test run with the s9p and the Suunto smart Sensor and now HRV appears on runalyze, ai endurance as well as in the fit file . So it seems that the s9p and the Garmin HRM Pro Plus are incompatible if it comes to hrv. Would be interesting which side the problem is on.

For those interested, just contacted Suunto via facebook about the availability of leather strap and other colors such as titanium black. Leather strap for the end of the year. Other colors “not planned” (totally understandable answer) and new version of customizer, but still to be decided/structured

@andré-faria sure it can also be ram. But at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what component was changed to increase the performance.

@olymay Agreed, when using GMaps on watch much easier to start from phone as watch: limited travel options i.e. cannot set it to do public transport. If i remember correctly it is only walk, cycle or drive. the biggest issue is there is no search function, only a dropped pin option, so trying to find where you want to go is painful. Otherwise you basically get same features as what is on the phone, including map, turn by turn directions. So best option is to start it on the phone, which will then provide text direction notification on the watch, however when pressing on the notification it expands it and gives you the option of launching the watches GMaps app, which then loads in the full navigation (as per your phone) - or you can leave it as the text notifications…

@herlas You are right. I tried the S9P again on the stationary bike. For me it depends a lot where the watch sits on my wrist. Further away from the joint leads to much better results! And back to the original thread title. Garmin cannot track V2O Max on tread mill runs. So for me another reason for Suunto.

@jmoneygrip exactly why I do not pay attention to VO2Max. Do a test if you need one, otherwise I would ignore the number.

@uranfl I think I found the cause of the problem. While the activity is paused, the watch still measures burned calories, but does not add them to the total. As the activity continues, the algorithm adds up the calories burned while pausing the activity shortly after pressing the resume button. This rapid jump in calories burned then confuses the Burner algorithm, which then malfunctions for a while.

@isazi Thank you very much for your help and for investigating, I’ll contact support to arrange an exchange of the watch. Because asides from this issue I really love it.

@simon said in Pace field does not show when climb slower than 30min/km: NGP (Normalized graded pace) would be a nice addition as a data field during an activity :-)) If this is even possible … You can get this if you use TrainingPeaks Run SuuntoPlus

A couple of tricks that work for me when a Sports App is finicky during selection: if the app won’t load the first time, simply try again. Sometimes three attempts is lucky. if the above doesn’t work, load another app and confirm that it appears as the Sports App for that training, then try selecting Aerobic decoupling again. if it still won’t successfully load, turn off GPS and try loading again. This almost always works for me. As a comment, sometimes a touchscreen press or “swipe” is interpreted as a back action on the Sports App selection list, so explicitly selecting the highlighted app using the middle watch button is helpful. Lastly, I’ve noticed that there is a little UI pause before the app successfully loads, so there is a hint that success is imminent.

Egika said in Add Music Storage. (Suunto 9 Peak): @MWR-NZ The watch does not even have a speaker built in. Listening to music played from the piezo buzzer would be a rather special experience… [image: 1697146757147-20180703190744-rollsafe-meme.jpeg]

While gentle vibrations and S9PP don’t go well together, it may be a feature bold enough to change the vibrations altogether. And besides - this is a nice idea and would make me want to use the alarm in the watch instead of a phone.

@Alex-Gascón Good to know!! My recommendation is: DO NOT sync your watch actively just before your GPS activity, if you have to do it, do it at least 20/30 minutes before. Let me explain: If for some reason the app/watch sends the AGPS just before the activity the AGPS file needs to be deployed and you won’t get GPS lock easily, you will have to wait at least the 15 minutes that are needed to install the AGPS. If you do a soft reset the AGPS will be deleted as well and will need to be installed again. In my experience if your watch and phone are connected (SA app running in the background, BT on the phone always on) you shouldn’t have any problem and you shouldn’t notice long GPS lock times.

@Mff73 it should be already back to normal, but I doubt that activities that ended up in the period of low TSS will be automatically recomputed.
