    Hi Suunto users,

I’m using the 9 peak since more than a year now… I must say that I quite happy with it for running & trail but my user experience is disturbed by the HR sensor. I noticed that it is very accurate when I run on a flat road … But when I change my rythm or when the slope changed I faced measurement instability. Most of the time my real HR rythme slow down but the measurement increase…
Of course I tried to follow Suunto recommandation and the two fingers things on my wrist, but without results.

    I run about 50 to 80km a week so I don’t have big wrists… Maybe that’s a clue.

Before the 9 peak I had a low cost Garmin watch, I didn’t had the issue with it. (And the GPS fix was really faster). Of course I still prefer the 9 peak but still, I find the issue really annoying…

Thanks anyway for the wonderful job Suunto I making !

    Benjamin

@Benjamin-0 I gave up with watch HR measurements some time ago, I have to say that I own a S9B that is more faulty than the S9P regarding wrist HR. I also have thin wrists so I bought a polar OH1 and I’m really happy with the combo.

It’s a feature, which makes you focus on running itself, not watching your watch every 3seconds.

@Benjamin-0 some users, like myself, experience the same. You better use a chest belt, I am afraid this is the only way to get accurate HR data
