More a judge by the eye. During the day, I could actually notice differences. Especially on the lighter maps. These are really only subtle differences, but at least there’s a difference. It would still be better if there were more than three levels of brightness.

@thanasis said in Storm alarm and DND: @Tomas5 said in Storm alarm and DND: Hello, if i enable storm alarm, will it be silent when i have do not disturb enabled? I would like to have storm alarm during day but i don’t want watch to wake me up in middle of night when i am at home. well, let it capture the event first and then should you worry about it . in my case, the storm alarm is something that is not really working over the last few suunto watches I would prefer not capture it during sleep

@sky-runner so I am not the only one who realized it…Was really confused because the time in zones did not align with the graph at all. Should be a really easy fix in the app though by just defining that the zone values are always the max. of the lower zone

@Squirrel not sure how Suunto does numbering here. But logic says that 2.46 should be ahead of 2.44. But who knows And user manual refers to wheel size calibration in settings, but it is not there at least for my Suunto Bike Sensor.

@surfboomerang Thanks for the reply. 1: is fixed with custom sports mode, perfect! 2: a little annoying that i have to turn dnd on/ off manually, but mybe it will be an option to turn notifications off during workout, in future fw. 3: not good- button lock on, sports data pages still changing with a short press of middle button. A custom sportmode, can help, just having one page, or only usefull pages, that will do fine. Even worse, a force reset was made twice during my latest workout, im not even sure which button needs to be activated to perform that hard reset, but it did, twice, during handstand and handstand walk

@helgonet12 Indoor, watch mode, just raising my wrist I and pressing button for full activation of the watch, I was surprise one more time by the brightness. That was not ‘low’ at all, more high than low or even medium. So I went in the general setting, set display to medium and screen came back to an effective ‘medium’ brightness. Then I set it on Low, and then brightness was lower than medium. So I guess there is a bug about that display setting

@burrowsnp I agree about the brightness. Sleep mode needs to be scaled down a bit. When it’s not in sleep mode and it’s dark in the room or outside, it scales up rather than down (maybe an issue with the ambient light sensor in that environment). I didn’t see the same issues with the HRM though. Could be related to the ZoneSense issue - I haven’t used ZoneSense yet myself, so I hope it gets fixed as it seems quite useful! I disable wrist HR for runs when I use an external HRM (using the Garmin HRM Pro and sometimes the COROS HRM). The problem I’m having is we’re all waiting on an update from our friends at Suunto as to whether these are known issues that will be addressed in a software update, or will some of these be blown past and have us wait for two or three more release cycles. Garmin watches have similar issues and it’s sometimes upwards of a year before they get all the bugs out. I’m testing the new Coros watch as well and it’s basically bug free right out of the gate. Not to mention when you engage in their forum, the team actually responds (and often times it’s the CEO himself). The watch has a ton of potential - just a few hot fixes needed soon. Would be a good idea for Suunto to reach out to some of us passionate users to beta test devices before public release so these can ironed out.

@peegee Why don’t you simply zoom out by rotating the crown? That should be easier than panning the map around, especially when moving fast I know that may be a rhetorical question because trails disappear from the map when zooming out, so the question is more towards the Suunto team.

@Tomas5 Yes, I think its an undocumented feature. Found the function it by accident in direct sun, easy to reproduce if you try. Takes about 1-3 seconds to adapt on my Race S. Not much slower then raise to wake

@Henning-Hefner I came here to report the same Worst OHR I have ever had, worst than Race 1 4 runs First two were recovery runs I noticed 170 during first km then 140, then again 160 … Third one was 18k 600D fartlek trail, push hard in ascent, recovering in descent, good speed on flat sections. Hr was often 170 in recovery descent till the end, and ascent were 160… despite pushing 100%. Flat 165… So the 4th run this evening, flat recovery run at 5:35 per km, 10km. Same as you always 165/170. Stopping twice hoping to fix that… hr went down from 170 to 120 in 10 seconds. No way mine could do that. So finishing those 10 slow km with intense hr, I switch to polar HR and went out for another 1km for testing … same pace, perfect 138 HR in cruising mode That Race 2 got a serious problem for some of us. It s far worst than race 1 which was already my worst ohr in 10 years. I must say epix pro gen 2 was spot on regarding HR for me. I hope suunto is aware and working on a soft fix

@Bartek-W I’m new to Suunto but my explanation ist: In the activity screen it is total calories (activity calories + resting calories) so this number will be higher than the actual active calories on the widget or in the app.

@Egika Yes, the OHR LED is still flashing, I can even see the HR on the graph in the Suunto App during the night [image: 1757491107519-screenshot_20250910-095321.png]

@Neil-McElroy Are you sure there are elevation details on all those trkpts in the raw OS-exported GPX files? There are none in any of mine from OS. There is an initial ascent/descent stat and an elevation detail on the odd initial named waypoint but no more.
