I think if it is your first watch, you don’t even think about some functionality that is not there. If you already had a Watch before, you expect all the newer ones to include functionality that you are used to. And this is what people see as essential functionality. And other do not miss it. Just as an example the other way around: If you have a Suunto, you are used to see running timers in the watch face, you are used to the auto sorting of sports mode for last recently used. Garmin - as the usual example - has neither of them. Sure, you can dedicate one data field to a running timer, but Suunto solves this way more elegant. It’s just expectations…

I don’t know about the Vertical 2, but the charger on my Race s is quite tricky to get aligned right. You always have to turn the charger a bit to get it right and the watch starts charging. When the watch is on you at least get instant feedback, but when it’s of, it’s more of a problem. You could try to rotate the charging puck a bit and see if it starts charging.

Well, still not clear solution provided by Suunto, this is quite dissapointing so far, this should be such a basic feature that should be working.

I’ve had my V2 since mid October and so far not a single crash. I always run 3 S+ non-third party apps. No other issues either.

@elbee you are funny. Often the car manufacturer will not even give an indication of the needed update We have a couple where we are negotiating for a buy back as they can’t solve a software issue. Life isn’t that hard with Suunto. I do have a wahoo and also have the issue. But I didn’t buy the V2 expecting to be able to broadcast to the bike computer so when I can it will be a bonus.

@KSGravelJunkie Wahoo can’t choose between ANT+ and BT, whereas Karoo can, so it doesn’t have a problem with this … but I’m not sure if there isn’t also an identification error on Suunto’s part

I don’t see this too much on trails but 100% on roads. I think they over corrected a bit with this last update. I constantly get “off route” notifications simply being on the other side of the street running in the correct direction.

@sky-runner It’s worth adding that this error occurs when using paths, trails, etc. Off‑trail, it’s a complete disaster – because the Suunto App doesn’t handle elevation at all in those cases.

@HonzaS one more question Regarding cadence sensor. Should I remove it or just set in right way? I can see that I can set wheel size and turn on or off something like sinc speed and cadence (but it cannot sync speed because it’s only on cadence mode) I removed sensor and at least distance is correct

@isazi yes, the watch was updated (I think last week) and I experienced it again during the last rides with the newest firmware. If it helps, I can provide the data. I logged three rides, Dropout during resupply (supermarket) approx. 8h into the ride. Reported 0W for the rest Ferry approx. 1h into the ride. Approx 10 minutes waiting time and 10 minutes on the ferry. I was close to the bike the whole time but the powermeter disconnected. Same scenario as 1.) If I remember correctly, during the first ride with the newest firmware, the power was recorded for the full ride despite a supermarket stop. This was the shortest (<5 minutes) but I went definitely out of range of the Bluetooth signal. As I said, if I can do anything to help you fix the issue please don’t hesitate to ask.
