Hi everyone. So, I did a test with two different types of external heart rate monitors: the usual Smart Band Heart Belt and a supposedly inferior brand called “Coospo.” It was disappointing. I even recorded an activity that didn’t require GPS (dancing) for the test… Using the Suunto strap, after a few moments… [image: 1775837202183-20260410_172654.jpg] [image: 1775837202242-20260410_172551.jpg] Now with an external one, Coospo brand… [image: 1775837258431-20260410_174315.jpg] In my case, it’s clear: my original headband, after being serviced and replaced (theoretically) with a new one, has stopped working again after 7 months. I’ve tried hardly washing it… only by hand. I’ll send it to the repair shop tomorrow, as it still has a year of warranty left. After that, I’ll sell it in case anyone wants to continue the crusade . I’m going back to the Polar H10…

I still dont get how this is possible. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought that the device, watch (not only Suunto) works as the recorder of data, and those are moved to app for further processing. The more sofisticated calculation happens in the app, and basic ones on the device and/or app using the same algorithm. Why other brands do not experience these issues?

I’ve been using a Polar H10 and Morpheus M7 with both my Race 2 and Vertical 1 for road and trail running and CrossFit and have had none of the issues mentioned here

Well I did a soft reset of the watch and now it’s available again, strange but it works again fortunately.

@Egika Indeed, good news! However, Suunto’s auto-reverse feature is notoriously glitchy as has been discussed on this forum (here and others). This is especially true if your route is an out-and-back or includes any crossover sections or intersections. I wonder if this has been addressed? Unfortunately, I won’t be able to test as I do not have a newer device.

Good morning, I finally confirm that with the V update. 2.53.42, the Outback Adventure dial, is also available again for the 90th Anniversary. Thank you Suunto for fixing this bug.

@Stavrogin Same here, I’ve recently moved to a Coros Apex 4 and have never looked back. For the first time in a very long (Suunto) time, I’m very happy with my watch now. Also, in contrast to Suunto, Coros was able to fix a reported bug within a very short time and communication with them was outstanding. At some point in the past, Suunto started shipping extremely buggy software with their (new) watches. And even years after the release of a new model and after many, many public reports, some severe issues are not fixed. My (in the meantime sold) S9P was okayish in terms of bugs, but there were some and Suunto never cared much to fix them. Instead, they released on new watch after the other - each buggier than the last one. And now that Suunto has decided to move away from MIP displays - while at the same time - proper and truly useful AOD for maps is not available on their latest models, it was just time for a change. And I’m very happy with the Apex 4. Maps are incredibly detailed and by far the best on the market.

Tap anywhere on the map and then on the “Flag+” icon (top right of lower panel) to create a POI - as you know. Then tap the Edit (“Pencil”) icon (top right of new lower panel) - enter desired Lat/Long coordinates, Name, etc. Only Lat/Long, currently - vote here for possible improvement,

Hola. En Vertical 2 Edición Limitada no puedo acceder a realizar el seguimiento de sueño manualmente. Lo resetee 2 veces y también restablecí los ajustes de fábrica, sin ningún resultado. El reloj vino por defecto con la esfera del Vertical 2, la cual ha desaparecido en el primer restablecimiento. No figura en el SuuntoPlus y borrando las 2 que había bajado, debería aparecer por defecto. No aparece. El consumo de la batería tampoco es lo que publicitan. Tiene menos autonomía que el Spartan Ultra, habiendo cerrado todas las aplicaciones en 2 grado y utilizando el dispositivo solo como reloj. Algún miembro del foro me podría explicar si tiene solución. Muchas gracias. Saludos.

My Vertical (1st gen) has recently started soft resetting at around 4:45 a.m. ever since I went abroad. I suspected it might be down to the morning weather data syncing over Wi-Fi. Once I disabled the Wi-Fi in the watch settings, the resets stopped completely. It might be worth giving that a go to see if it sorts it out for you.

Noone can help me? Only I’m affected by this issue? Ps I have the latest software
