@sky-runner how frustrating. Reliability is the number item no matter what. If you are in the mountains and the watch fails, its very frustrating and problematic imo. Sure, important to always have a back up gps unit with you but still. I haven’t had any issues with my watches during long outings but it does concern me.

@HonzaS yes, but that doesn’t excuse providing garbage data, if ZoneSense calculate this, then it shouldn’t display it…its the most basic data validation you can do !

@safari without any additional settings the control panel as you described is a short press of the down button from the watch face. I use it all the time that way…

@herlas I wonder if that works outside of swimming activities. I seem to remember to have gaps in the FIT file for running when the sensor disconnects for a couple of seconds…

@joey-kimton Hi - I guess you are talking about the Sun & Moon widget, which does have limited information. However, there are two Sports Apps (called Sun & Moon…) which give a lot more information such as dusk/dawn time, moon rise/set. Obviously you can only use these during an activity but it may help you out.

@johann.fuehrer right. New we start over at the beginning: The energy saving display only cannot display more data than what is available. It cannot be configured. To show the needed data, it is totally possibly to use the full wake mode. One has to decide between energy saving or a lot of information. I was now referring to the statement that not a single watch face could display the required data.

@Brad_Olwin The new map colours are a clear step backwards in terms of readability. Trails, terrain and contour lines now use very similar shades, making them difficult to distinguish at a glance. This is not an aesthetic issue — it directly affects navigation, especially when using the map quickly while running or hiking. The previous colour scheme had much better contrast and was significantly easier to read. Please consider reverting to the previous colours or, at the very least, adding a high-contrast map style as an option. Good-looking maps are useless if you cannot clearly see the trails and terrain.

@Sascha-Domres If you sync with the mobile first, the GPS satellite data should be updated as well. The you wait until the arrow goes green, that should work also.

@Egika Hi, thanks for your reply, unfortunately i dont have a video but I do wear my watch on my non breathing arm, breath right Suunto left. It may be by swapping wrists this might help but never had this problem with the Garmin. I have a general and current pace rate of approx 2.40/100m on the Garmin but the V2 jumped to approx 3.20/100m. I need the accuracy for OW swim training and racing, so it’s pretty critical that it shows the correct metric.

@VoiGAS said: @elbee I think the examples above give a good idea: Multi Day Hike: As you cannot resume later, you maybe let the activity run paused. Then you cannot set the Alarm to get up early next day or use the torch to light the way to the toilette Running/Hiking in the Dark: No Access to torch Hiking: No weather forecast (Now solved with Gustin, thanks for that) small comment on this one: it is absolutely possible to use the torch during activities. Just enable it in the settings you access by a long press on the lower button.

@raven While I would never use “pause and resume later” (and in fact I almost never pause my watch at all), I do agree that there is a lot of value in recording non-performance fun activities, and I see how stitching multiple separate sessions together into a larger activity is appealing to a lot of people. For starters, there is a growing tendency to share such fun non-performance activities on Strava, posting with a bunch of photos. I kind of enjoy when others share that. For example, someone can go explore a city while traveling and take a lunch break in the middle. Sharing that as a single activity on Strava is much better than spamming everyone with multiple short activities. Personally I just keep the watch running, sometimes even when I go into a store, and then I let Strava automatically remove all non-moving parts. But I can see how pausing and resuming later would make more sense to many people.

@Horizontal_2 So you’re a lucky man. I’ve had mine since October as well, and ever since the previous update I’ve been experiencing restarts. Yesterday, after a restart, all my sport profile settings (data fields, etc.) were wiped. If this isn’t fixed by the end of the year, I’m returning the watch and moving on. These exact kinds of issues are why I left Garmin and praised Suunto. Now it’s a disaster. At least Garmin had settings backup.

@duffman19 Thank you, curiously, the navigation still worked exactly. But it makes sense what you explain. Thank you
