Future S9 firmware wishlist summary

@freeheeler True. It took a while until Suunto realised it though. Altitude was recorded for a long time in windsurf activities (it still is, but it’s not shown in SA)
Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m not sure if this means storm alarm isn’t also working. That’s a metric I’m interested in during the activity

I was just watching Ray’s in-depth review of the Fenix 7 and was surprised about the new SpeedPro activity.

Dear Suunto, are you taking notes for future firmware features?
Additional note: Make it better then Garmin
“First test with the Fenix 7 in SpeedPro mode (=1 Hz)… No doppler fields visible in GPS results and the results differ just as much as any other Suunto of Garmin. They need to put some more effort in the software to make it suitable voor speedsurfing.”

Let us manually adjust/choose the pace/speed of the ghost. Please!

Heart rate zone bars around the outside when on the navigation screen
-
Also I’d like to see TbT notifications that don’t cover the whole nav. screen.
-
@dmytro
see… another request that did not make it…
I don’t want all this fancy stuff, do you hear me, Suunto?!

@freeheeler weren’t there some rumors about suunto looking into nav screen? Maybe one day, maybe no longer for our present devices.
-
Would love to have more info like breadcrumb, compas, weather trend,… while activity in pause mode.
Would love to have more advanced weather forecast like Polar.
Compass screen during navigation like Traverse had ( i guess processing power should not be an issue or what…? On traverse was possible why not on s9p?)
When navigating click on poi on navigation screen to get more info about it)

Suunto users are creative and find workarounds for several lacking features -
Per my opinion,Suunto should correct steps&Vo2max accuracy,battery drain and to add brisk-walk as a sport mode
-
@djordje-s or run walk, I’d loved that! It was even considered as s+ feature, but was probably less popular than e.g. burner.
-
@dmytro Yes, Brisk/Speed/Run walking ( however it is called ) it is consumed by lot of people and I for me it is logical to be part of separate sports mode than some feature
-
@djordje-s by run walk I mean the means to automatically mark the transition between walking and running. Similarly to how s+ sprint works. But I would be interested in a dedicated brisk walk activity too.

The Wahoo Elemnt Rival watch has seamless integration for triathlon, so you basically start the activity and then it identifies where you switch between swim/bike/run. It even records and identifies the transition sections which I thought was pretty cool. Aside from that feature it’s regarded as a fairly basic GPS watch, although obviously aimed at triathletes
Would be great if Suunto could develop something similar - I quite often do brick sessions for bike and run and would be nice to not have to worry about recording two separate workouts
-
@dmytro It would be good if Suunot integrate burner to be calculated automatically with every exercise Otherwise other S+ features will never be used till we have burner there :)))))
-
@djordje-s ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I used burner once or twice, I can only imagine using it during longer outings to remind myself to eat, since I tend to forget about it until I already feel unwell. For any other reason is burner in my opinion less useful. -
@miniforklift - doesn’t the S9 allow you to record multiple activities as one session - am pretty sure there is a hotkey that allows that - something like holding down the start button from what I remember.
