@surfboomerang
it’s not scheduled like santas day, but we all feel like kids when we get the surprise -
@freeheeler at least let’s get some bug fixes … the swimming thing is terrible

@freeheeler I know that it would be asking too much, but the best would be if there is a field that could be scrolled (like in Ambit). One data field at the bottom, but you could scroll through to show HR, Alti, timer, ascent, etc.
Yes please!
-
@wakarimasen But this is already possible. There is a screen configuration where you can scroll the center (3 fields of data) through I think that 5 different data.
Am I wrong?

@Efejota Only in the 5/5P and 9P and S3. Sorry meant 9P not 5P
-
@Brad_Olwin it seems that also in the S9P. I have it.

No doubt this has been suggested at some point, but I’d like to be able to power off my watch. As well as my S9B I also have a Garmin Enduro, I really like being able to turn on/off the watch when I like and it’s a bonus for battery preservation. FWIW I also find the Enduro’s ‘Resume Later’ option a good to have
Surely this wouldn’t be too tough to implement on a future update?
-
Btw, I wonder if there’s going to be a new FW this quarter, or if nov 30 counted towards a winter update.
-
@DMytro I think Dimitrios mentioned some time ago a lot was going on for Suunto store. Maybe software needs update. Also don’t forget about training hub
-
A bit of a long shot, but hear me out…
I dream of a fully V&V’d software release without any major/noticeable bugs!
-
The S9 is a very solid platform in my humble opinion, and aside from these recent very irritating let-downs it could be a great watch.
If I had any say I would take a step back and give a ‘minimalist’ option for those of us who value reliability over ‘gimmicks’. Even better would be to give users a bit more freedom - Similar to what Garmin does with the open source stuff. I bet there would be way better face options - to mention just one example - if that was the case.
-
@ADHDMonkey
reducing “gimmicks” and adding more faces is contradictory, no?
some users have downgraded the firmware to the previous one and achieved more stability. maybe that would be an option while we wait for a further update? -
@freeheeler I did not say ‘more’ faces, I said ‘better’ faces. An improved and modern interface is not a gimmick in my book.
What do I find contradictory is having to DOWNGRADE the FW to get better performance (I can’t even type that without giggling to myself ).
Can you point me to official Suunto documentation that states that it is ok for users to downgrade the FW please?
I’ve read on this forum that some people have had negative experiences with that and I don’t want to make things even worse.
-
@ADHDMonkey Downgrading is not supported.
- Soft reset.
- Factory reset.
- Customer service to repair.
I think these are the obvious steps.
-
Is there any particular reason why there’s no option to select GPS+Glonass+Galileo?
-
@ADHDMonkey yes, the chipset only supports GPS+X, newer chipsets support different configurations, such as using all GNSS systems at the same time.
-
Still hoping for a simple flash light triggered by a long press of one of the hard buttons. Turn the face all white, brightness 100%

Simple but nice idea!

I would like for the VO2Max algorithm to take into account the height difference or other environmental changes. For example I ocationally visit my grandparents village +1200m height from the place I live and the first days to week or more my VO2max drops a couple of points and fluctuates a lot until it stabilizes.
-
@Hristijan-Petreski I work at 1700m and over or at 3000m almost every weekend if I am home. My VO2Max is reported about 5-8 ml/kg/min lower on the watch than on a test. Not terribly bad.
